Miencraft for windows 10 not working

A friend gift me minecraft for windows 10, I did redeem it on PC(On the microsoft store site) and when I wanted to donwload it brings me to the XBOX web interface to log in.

At the end I got minecraft for windows in the XBOX interface, donwload it and tried to log on the official minecraft site with my microsoft account and it tells me I don't have minecraft owned.

Finally when I go to my order history it shows Minecraft for windows 10 and when I click install and show code, it shows constant error and I can't do anything.

Is there a way I can log in with my account in the official minecraft site?

Is there a difference between XBOX minecraft and windows minecraft? I have no idea because I am new to minecraft.

It shows MInecraft for Windows but If I click install it shows error, but I have it on the XBOX interface for windows, is the same as just minecraft for windows?

Check your transactions at http://account.microsoft.com and make sure it shows you redeemed "Minecraft for Windows 10" and not just "Minecraft". If it only says "Minecraft" then you were given the Xbox version of the game and that would only work on the console.

Please, follow these steps:

Restart Minecraft.

Go to Settings > Profile > Clear Account Sign in Data > Confirm

Restart the game again and sign in to your Microsoft account.

"DROWNED:

This means you’ve encountered an unknown error during sign-in.

Please fully close Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, reset your device, and attempt to log in again."

There are a couple of different options that you have. Depends on what version of Minecraft you're on (Bedrock, specific platform versions, Java, etc). But you can rent a realm, or set up a server.

The benefit of a realm is that it's a third party hosting solution, so it'll be online even when you're not, and you can still control details about it, such as access lists and what not. Downside is there is a subscription cost associated with that.

The benefit of a server is that you host it locally, and have further control over it. You can also look into other non-realm third party hosts for minecraft, that will host the server for you, and allow you certain controls for it, but those also have
a cost associated to them to the third party host. The downside is that whatever computer is hosting the server would need to be online for users to connect to it. You'd still be paying for power and what not, but would not be a full subscription cost.
