Midway Arcade Origins on Games With Gold Isn’t Free

I was trying to get Midway Arcade Origins which is supposed to be free today with gold. But, it says it's not free.

Games are usually delisted when either the digital rights expire or the company that published the game goes bust. Gauntlet Xbox 360 arcade was delisted because Midway games filed for bankruptcy in 2010.

However, Gauntlet and selection of other classic Midway arcade games is available on Midway Arcade Origins. These are ports of the arcade originals though. This collection is compatible with the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

If you can't find it? get your hands on Midway arcade origins, it's on that disc and gauntlet 2.

There seems to be an error for a lot of people. This has happened before and will usually get fixed after a few days. Just keep checking back occasionally.

PS: I'm assuming that it's not free to download, rather than not available at all.

I don't believe this game has ever been available digitally in Ireland, only on disc. This is not normally a problem but Xbox is advertising it on its web-pages and console as available to download for free with games with gold.

Previously when a game is not available in a region a different game is offered in games with gold.
