Middle earth shadow of mordor

Ive unlocked them all but one Az. I just dont seem to be able to traverse the map without getting into scrapes with two or three captains at at time. Take last night and a mission to kill a Warchief. I took out his supporters with my bow as instructed,
assesed his strengths and weaknesses and went for the fight, next thing three more captains with mobs all join the fight and it was only a matter of time before eventually they whittled my health down, two QTE's later im toast. Maybe im just unlucky! So
far I think I have enjoyed some of the side missions more than the main ones. Cheers though.

 

Try pushing the Y + B buttons together when your fighting a mob. This helped me do the kill 50 in the pit mission.

 

Yes I have the execution and the wraith smash, its the captains that are the problem when there is a few of them and the main target.

 

Have you levelled up the sword much?

When it comes to a mob of Captains then the Dodge feature becomes exceptionally useful.

 

Yes got a few runes on all weapons.

 

So I was playing this yesterday and got into it a bit more. I was failing to take my time to gather intel on captains, so instead of just running in I managed to take 2 of them out in quick succession as they were in the same area without having a big fight
with too many orcs just by sneaking around, scouting and learning their weakness.

Still need to learn more about the Nemesis system like ranking up and duels and I'm not really looking forward to meeting a Warchief lol.

 

After a rought start,i'm fine.

I just walk carefully,look around,mark captains (to avoid unexpected encounter).I don't even need to use fast travel....It's a game about patience and strategy....

And what a game....

 

^ yes it can be for sure, I'm well used to playing games like rhis but this one chucks a few curveballs in. Went to go to a main mission marker last night, snuck there no problems, In the same area was a bow side mission so I did that, no problem.
However when that mission finished because of the orcs being alerted, three captains and a load of heavies all ran to the area and after briefly looking around and not finding me they formed a patrol pattern right over the main mission marker! So I really
didn't want to get involved with them as I had no Intel on any of them. I had to go and find another mission which was miles away. Things like this I find annoying.

 

Use a beast (or slaves ) as a decoy,when it's possible....

It's a living world.

 

^ lol. I know mate, the game hates me! I normally thrive on this type of game, but this is murder. Literally!

 

Just finished up and it was a great game. Wish there was more to do though.

What happens after you complete the game? Can you keep playing?

 

I was hoping to finish before Alien Isolation gets here today but after playing for a week 6-8 hours a day, I still have a ton of Captains to kill. Great Game!
