Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor / Season Pass

I helped someone try to finish installing the season pass for Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor by uninstalling the season pass for Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and than the installation for Mordor's season pass finished, but when we tried reinstalling the
season pass for Black Flag that had the same issue. Thank you Achilles TB for the fix!

 

I've done the same things and have contacted customer support, there are some things I cannot use from the season pass such as the captain of the watch skin and the rune, I would greatly appreciate this being resolved soon. And I'm concerned with the other
items of the season pass, the bright lord missions and the lord of the hunt missions, do I not have access to them since the season pass itself isn't downloading onto my console correctly?

I raised a thread on game dev forum but no answer after one day yet.

 

Update for Shadow of Mordor was processed today, 711 mb. This should be the fix for the season pass issues for both games.

I would like to mention that the update doesn't fix the season pass issues as I still can't re-install my Assassins Creed Season Pass (thank god I don't need it).

It also hasn't fixed the content that the Shadow of Mordor Season Pass should actually give us.

There has been no change to my game from when I made my last post basically. Just the new photo mode has been added and that's all.

We've all been very patient so far (some more so than others admittedly), but this is getting ridiculous.

We haven't heard from any staff in days now (a week is it maybe?). At least giving us an update would be nice, and if there isn't an update, at least someone checking in to say that this thread is still being acknowledged would be nice too.

This issue started two weeks ago and there hasn't really been any progress made at all.

I've never seen something be handled this poorly before from Xbox(and the developers of the game are at fault too - but I am just feeling like Xbox isn't really doing much, at least from what we can see). Whenever there have been issues in the past (at least
in my experience) everything has been handled very well and quickly. It's pretty disappointing and discouraging.

 

The above "Verified Answers" don't work, namely because they don't address the problem. The reason the error is happening is because the system file name for Shadow of Mordor Season Pass is the exact same file name as the Season Pass for Assassin's Creed
Black Flag. I guarantee that anyone who is having this problem has Assassins Creed Season Pass installed on their system.

Go to "My Games and apps"

Highlight Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

Press menu button (right middle button) and choose "Manage Game"

Go to the icon that says "Assassin's Creed IV Season Pass"

Press menu button again and "uninstall".

This will only uninstall the season pass app itself, not all of the season pass items you downloaded.

Now Reinstall Shadow of Mordor Season Pass and it will work perfectly.

Also, the description for what the Season Pass unlocks immediately is very deceiving. The only things that will be unlocked, as of today (15OCT14), are the following:

The Dark Ranger Character Skin

Test of Speed

Test of Power

Test of Wisdom

Endless Challenge

Guardians of the Flaming Eye

The Captain of the Watch Character Skin and the Hidden Blade Rune were pre-order unlocks. I called WB Games and they said that they will be released in Season Pass at a later date, as well as they other items listed.

However, the description for the Season Pass reads as follows:

"The Season Pass will unlock the following content and more as it is released..."

It then proceeds to list 17 things, including Power of Shadow Upgrades and 5 different Runes.

Definitely not happy. How this got through quality control is unbelievable. An entire wasted day off trying to figure this out. Hope this helps everyone else out there having the same problem.

I am getting reports that this Season Pass install issue has been resolved and should install correctly! Let us know if you're seeing the same thing on your end.

If after you download the
October System Update and are still experiencing this issue, please post back in this thread and let us know what the details are.

As for the downloadable content listed in the Season Pass (Hidden Blade Rune and Captain of the Watch Character Skin) -- this is currently being looked into and I definitely will post back once I know more information regarding this.

I'm sorry to hear about the update issue you've been experiencing. Since this issue is separate from the one being described in this thread, I would suggest creating a new thread detailing what's happening and all the troubleshooting steps you've tried so
far. That way we can cater our support specifically to you!

In the meantime, I would suggest trying out these troubleshooting steps out to see if they will get you sorted.

• Power cycle your Xbox One console.
  
• Once the console is off completely, unplug all cords from your console.
  
• Leave everything unplugged for a few minutes.
• Plug your console and cords back in and turn it on.
• Check your Network Connection. (Settings > Network > Test Network Connection)
  
• Sign back into to Xbox Live and try downloading the update again.
  

If the steps above don't seem to do the trick, please create a new thread and let us know!
