    Mics won't work


    I have had my Xbox 1 since a couple months after the first release and at the beginning, my mic worked but after a couple software updates my mic stopped working, I had an adapter piece so I tried using multiple different mics that
    I've used on different devices and still work well but they don't work on my Xbox. I bought a new remote where I don't need the adaptor and has the mic port directly on it but the all the mics still didn't work on Xbox. I think that the Xbox just isn't responding
    to the sound coming from the mic. If anyone has had this problem or just knows a solution please help!!

    Mic won't talk

    microphone won't talk. Just got new wireless mic that doesn't work. My other 3 wired mics also don't work. 2 of them are Microsoft mics. I've checked all the mute settings chat settings, nat etc. is there a way to get help on this? Don't think it's another
    bad mic.

    Mic won't work

    On Xbox party my microphone won't work but I'm able to hear the game sound and my friends talk. I have had this problem for a while now and I have tried(I think) every way to fix this. This can't be my controller or headset because I used the xbox
    app on my phone without the headset but it won't detect any voice out of it either. This is clearly some software issue thing and I need help to fix it.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox Forums am truly sorry what you are experiencing, I would recommend you buying a Headset adapter because I previously had the same problem but now since I got headset adapter everything works fine.

    Hi Overward,

    Thanks for reaching out to us today. I would like to ask if you get any sort of error on your end at all? Also, have you still tried different devices (controller and headset) to make sure it's not an accessory issue? We do have a few troubleshooting options
    available such as our article

    If you haven't already done so go ahead and go through those steps. Also, let us know what you've tried already so we know what you've done so far as a process.

    try this if not help Let's try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green
    "XBOX ONE" animation loading screen when you power it back up.
