Mics not picking up my voice on the Xbox One

Almost all the time my mics are not picking up my voice on the Xbox One, but when it does it is not for very long until it stops working again. I have two different mics and I tried both of them in two controllers. My turtle beach mic works on the 360 so
I know it is not broken. I thought it might be the adapter so I tried the mic that came with my xbox one and it is not working either. I can hear people talk to me I just can't chat back. My kinect seems to be working just fine as the mic (it always seems
to pic up my voice I guess I haven't tried talking to anyone with it yet though). I have made sure everything was plugged in and I even turned my xbox ALL OF THE WAY off. Still not working. I don't know what else to try. I was wanting to by the Halo edition
of the Astro A50s but now I might cancel my preorder since all my mics seem to not be working. I was thinking of reseting my xbox One but it was a HUGE pain to get it to be able to kinect on my college internet so I don't really want to mess that up. Does
anyone know of a way to fix this issue?

4 headset mics stop working in the same week.

Since the start of this week Ive have used 4 different mics for chat purposes on the One and all four eventually quit picking up my own voice. I can hear everyone else but they cant hear me. The mics arent picking up my voice at all. Ive tried three controllers
and taken all the steps to troubleshoot this problem. I refuse to buy another controller. This is a software issue and needs to be updated.

 

Need help with this

My xbox doesn't seem to be picking up any mics I have. I have 3 controllers and they are all working fine. I plug my mics in them and I can hear myself but the mic icon isn't there in the party chat or anything else. I went into privacy and made sure the
voice chat was on to everyone. Whats the problem?

 

When this happens, can you go to the Home screen and select your profile picture in the upper-left? Press A on it and then select "Choose this person". That might resolve the issue.

Ya I am having the same issue. Have tried everything....getting really tired of it want to play with friends but can't. Want to talk can't I can hear them fine. I have tried new controller new MIC nothing is working. This is getting really old.

What game are you playing? I noticed I have this issue while playing Destiny, but if no one in the party is playing, the party chat works fine

 

Well they are sending me a new mike. if it does not work as well , then that's pretty much skrewed my gaming!

 

I am having the same problem I can hear them but they can't hear me

 

So just got off the phone with xbox support the answer I got from them is buy a new headset
