Microsoftstore.com guaranteed release date delivery.

So the only reason I ordered dying light through their website was because of Xbox live rewards giving $15.00 back on top of the release date delivery for free. Now today the game dropped and i never received it along with my order status still saying processing.
I asked to cancel it today so I could just download it and play it. ($15.00 really doesn't mean jack to me) but of course they say it's to late cancel it. With them saying guaranteed free release date delivery is it out of line to call and ask for compensation?
Again I only went through them for the xbox live rewards cash and the guarantee of release date delivery.

So just now finally got my tracking number from UPS and the estimated delivery date is end of day Thursday (2 days after release). So it is not looking good for the "free guaranteed release day delivery" and apparently the Microsoft rep didn't know what
he was talking about. I guess now I know not to order anymore games I am highly anticipating from the Microsoft store.

 

If you had ordered it in enough time for the release date shipping, I would definitely contact their their customer service. Especially since it still says it's just processing.

I'm not sure when you ordered it, but keep in mind you had the pre-order by 2:00pm PDT the Thursday before release in order to get the release day shipping.

 

I ordered it at least a week in advance closer to 10 days. They said they were sorry and they could not do anything for me

 

If $15 doesn't mean that much to you or anyone else for that matter, never buy from the Microsoft Store. They are leagues behind Amazon.com in terms of their customer service and when they make a mistake, like they did with my order, they do NOTHING to correct
it. I ended up having to pay for a return when I cancelled the item 4 times prior to it being shipped. Incompetence comes to mind when I think about the MS store.

I've never had a problem ordering digitally from them or even working with support over a digital issue.

Always go with Amazon.com or another site that has good customer service.

 

90% of my 30+ games have been digital I just figured I would give this a try seeing as how they help the word when I ordered watch dogs through them. It's gonna be digital from here on out

And I didnt even have too contact them.

 

Was "release date shipping" specified? Also, does that mean it should have reached your home by the day the game was released, or shipping begins on the release date?

I rarely do any online shopping. The last time I ordered something I bought about five CDs from Best Buy's website. I paid for the fastest shipping on two of them. The three I paid for regular shipping on arrived a day earlier than the two I paid for the
quickest available shipping. I wasn't on the phone for more than 10 minutes before I was refunded.

 

Xurts - through microsoftstore.com as long as you order by a certain yime they guarantee that the disc will be delivered to you on the date of release, not shipped on the date of release.

 

Just got updated that it will arrive tomorrow, it's a shame i could not just cancel the order but oh well, maybe I'll get hooked up with that extra $10 gift card! Lol
