    I got Xbox <*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***>'s e-mail at 5:40 about "Microsoft’s Xbox Parental Controls and Family Settings -- Xbox is improving our data collection processes around accounts for children..." Its web link goes to

The closest Xbox thing is my updated 64-bit W10 Pro's Xbox Game Bar. I rarely use it to recording my computer desktop. It would be nice to know why I got this e-mail and how does it affect me? I don't even use the same e-mail address for my MS account!

    Changing Parental Control Email

    Hi,

    You'll need to download the parental account that's currently in control of your account onto a Xbox 360 console. Once that's done, you would go from your dashboard to Settings > Family > Remove Family. Once that's done, when the child logs back into their
    account they will be prompted to enter in a new parental e-mail.

    That's currently the only way I know of how to switch the parental e-mail.

    Seriously, your response is just ignore this? We're forced to provide our information to these companies so they can add it to their databases to try to make money off of us and our response is supposed to be ignore it? This is why I don't want to provide anything to anyone anymore. Because they do **** like this and spam us for unrelated things. Microsoft doesn't care if we don't use and XBox or do anything with XBox. They install it on everyone's Windows PCs because it's their product and they're trying to sell it. Then this **** comes along to people who have no involvement in anything XBox. They need to get their **** together if they don't want to get responses asking them to stop being bastards.

    I have neither an XBOX nor kids and no desire for either =) It's fine to say "Just ignore it" but if every company I have any dealings with sends me info on anything they do regardless if it's applicable, I will never find the valid emails for the spam. So, I black-holed xbox.com in my mail filters. Job done!

    Fking what? You will unsubscribe me from this XBOX trash RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW. The closest thing I have to an XBOX videogame console is an aging PlayStation 2 that I at best use once every 5 years. Notice how it's a fking PLAYSTATION, it doesn't even have an XBOX logo on it!!! and I get this COMPLETELY UNRELATED E-Mail that won't affect me in any way, shape or form! Again, Un-fking-subscribe me NOW! Damn...

    EDIT: Do your damn research! Find out who has an XBOX and who has no XBOX, and off of that, select who you send this trash to! I'll help you out with that research by letting you know that, based off of the above, I HAVE NO XBOX.

    But that does not answer the question- if I don’t have an Xbox account why would they an email about parental controls? I consider it spam or think someone is mining for info since I have NO connection with them. There is also not a way to unsubscribe.
