  1. Microsoft's Preorder Disaster Didn't Benefit Loyal Customers.

I've never had enough money to purchase a console on Day One. Nonetheless, I've been a loyal Xbox customer. I own every console dating back to the first Xbox. I have the XB360-S, the XB1 2013, XB1-S (2TB GoW Edition), and finally...the XBox SERIES S. For
the first time, I own a console. But I'm irate...as I imagine many customers are.

First...there's the ridiculous naming system. It's impossible to search for the new console without getting pages upon pages of offers for the XB1-S and XB1-X. I'm sure this was on purpose. Apple did the same thing when they launched the Macbook and the
Macbook Pro. You couldn't google Macbook without also seeing the more expensive Macbook Pro. Microsoft, desperately wants to unload their unsold XB1 consoles, so they create the most confusing naming system. It's already tricked parents & grandparents into
accidentally purchasing their loved ones older consoles that actually cost more!

What is absolutely disgusting to me is the preorder fiasco that's left legitimate xbox loyalists desperately trying to outbid each other on eBay or OfferUp for preorders belonging to someone else. for $500,600,800,1000,1500,1800. Is the warranty in their
name? NOPE! Because Microsoft didn't ensure that the distributors of their preorders had proper mechanisms in place to prevent scalpers from ordering the household maximum at each store. I'm positive that everyone here who's desperate to find an XBox that
likely won't be available until 2021...has looked through every site to see "sold out" in
    Red or
Grey text. If you did what I did, you went to eBay and watched greedy pieces of [mo dremoved] with an endless supply of sold-out XBS S/X consoles auctioning them for no less than $500 for the Series S...and as high as $1800 for the X in some cases.
While some listings had "make offer" and "buy it now" options, they'd reject the highest offer if it didn't net them a high enough profit. I submitted multiple offers of $450 for the Series S--always hopeful that I'd win--only to receive a notification saying
the seller had rejected my offer and re-listed the item. When I was the highest bidder at prices over $400, I'd receive a notification saying "the reserve was not met." I felt ENRAGED.
[mod removed] those greedy scalpers and [mod removed] Microsoft for allowing that to happen. Microsoft should've combed through eBay & OfferUp and matched every confirmation number from every seller's posted receipt and immediately
cancelled those orders--it's not like they would've had to refund the actual cost. From what I understand, none of those sellers had to pay for the console until it was sent to them on 11/12. I spent hours trying to find something that wasn't too outrageous.

I successfully purchased an XBSeries S from a seller on eBay for $500--which was lucky compared to many others who paid 3x more. Other desperate customers have been completely ripped off paying for consoles from OfferUp via CashApp transactions--which OfferUp
won't cover. Predatory scalpers took advantage of loyal customers during a time when people don't have this kind of money to throw away despite having so much cabin fever that they'd do anything to keep themselves occupied. For my $500 purchase...what did
    I receivce?

I received the XBOX Series S 512GB SSD with a Controller. I should have received a Series X for that kind of money. I should have a record with Microsoft/BestBuy that it was not used or Open Box. It was new, but I have no Warranty or guarantee to show for
it. I have a console that has a pitiful 336GB of internal storage. Yep.
    Microsoft's idea of 512GB is 336GB!!

It barely holds 6 games. That's unbelievably pathetic. It only has 1 HDMI input. It only has 3 USB-A 3.0. inputs. So I had to purchase an additional 3TB external HDD WD Passport. Without an HDMI output, I can't daisy chain my 2TB XB-S; so I had to choose
between cannibalizing my XB1S console for its 2TB HDD or purchasing a new HDD. With unsold XB1-S consoles likely saturating all upcoming November sales...I can't imagine I'll receive much for it, but I couldn't justify doing a teardown. So I bought a 3TB HDD--adding
to th $500 I'd already spent on a system that STILL doesn't offer universal 4k. Should I even ask or is it obvious that an Xbox One X upgrade would've given been the cheaper, graphically superior, and readily available alternative to the XBSeries S?

Finally, the worthless controller. In characteristic Microsoft fashion, they changed JUST ENOUGH to make it 100% incompatible with EVERY add-on you've ever purchased for previous controllers. Did you plan on buying or re-using a white battery pack? TOO [mod
removed] bad. It won't fit. Why? Because Microsoft thought it made perfect sense for the same-sized AA battery compartment to include 3 notches instead of 2...so that any XB1 battery pack that SHOULD fit WON'T fit because it's teeth suddenly misalign with
the notches by less than 1cm!!

Does that mean that you're 3rd party Collective Minds Strike FPS mod attachments with customizeable/mappable paddles and the its more expensive 4-button version won't fit either? YES!! That's exactly right. They won't fit either. So if you bought one of
those Collective Minds Remappable attachments in the hopes of turning your new controller into a cheaper alternative to Microsoft's Ripoff $157 Elite 2 controller with notorious stick drift...I hope you can return them! Or just use them in your XB1 controller.
Microsoft has no intention of letting you build a cheaper version of their garbage elite 2 controller. Can you simply snap off the teeth from your Collective Minds attachment so it fits? NOPE!!! Because despite providing you with a pitiful 3 USB inputs on
the console and ZERO USB-C inputs---forcing anyone unable to afford the $215 1TB Seagate SSD Expansion to limited transfer speeds of 5-6Gbps for their external HDD or SDD--the new controller STILL wouldn't accept ANY last generation attachments with a Micro-USB
cable because the new controllers have a USB-C port! Xbox advertises this like they just cracked a technology barrier..."now you can charge your controller while playing!"

I don't need a USB-C port in my $60 wireless controller to make it a wired controlled, thanks. I would've been happy with a wired controller that accepted my Collective Minds FPS attachments. It's just greedy & selfish for Xbox to force a USB-C port into
their controller to COMPLETELY render every prior attachment 100% obsolete--including any rechargeable battery packs that relied on notch spacing. And I don't think the console even comes with a USB-C to USB-A wire for this "recharging" scam that's clearly
intended to invalidate 3rd party mods and force gamers to spend $150 on that piece of junk Elite 2 or their design lab's customized xbox gamepad with only 2 mappeable buttons. It's insulting. I can't even get my 3rd-party rails with adjustable Trigger depressions
to fit on the new controller.

I'm genuinely [mod removed] about all of this. Some of these changes are just annoying, while others are clearly transparent attempts to re-direct consumers to exclusively licensed Xbox products. And it's not a new thing. Playstation has always had better availability
and better pricing regarding controller attachments--particularly mappable FPS paddles. Playstation has always had cheaper attachments. And even now, after searching desperately aftermarket Microsoft or 3rd party fans or needed accessories like affordable
USB 3.1 Hubs or USB splitters/adapters that could fit my 2 external HDDs, a wired controller, and who knows what else for this out-of-stock, ethically bankrupt & predatory resale, over-priced & under-performing Series S...I was able to find a PS5 3-fan adapter
AND a USB 3.1 + USB-C Hub. Neither of these exist for XBox Series S. And if they did...I can't find them because I can't type in XBox Series S without getting results almost exclusively limited to Xbox One S and Xbox Elite Series Controller.

You owe your loyal customers a HUGE [mod removed] apology. And by that I mean free upgrades. Free warranties to everyone who got gouged by those sickeningly greedy eBay profiteers who continue buying the first console they see (and the reason you'll never sell
an affordable xbox to a true gamer), and for everyone who bought last gen controller attachments, additional HDDs, USB hubs, HDMI adaptors, etc., you owe us big time. Personally, I'd appreciate a new Wireless Elite Controller or a universal FPS gamepad from
your design lab. You can afford it. We can't.

Also. If you want to help your customers...do your job and find every deadbeat scalper on ebay, mercari, etsy, craigslist, offerup, & amazon and get their names & customer IDs & everything you need to find their purchaser profile, and have them flagged as
illegal scalpers, buy back your thousands of xbox series s/x consoles that real gamers want so badly...and sell them through the website at 1 console per name per address per credit card per email per whatever. And ban all those [mod removed] from purchasing
a console again until you've released them in stores when stock is high enough to cover everyone. And RENAME this ridiulous console. Xbox Two or Xbox Cube or Xbox Black or Xbox Diamond or Xbox Totem or Xbox 2020 or Xbox Fails according to the BBB.

    Enjoy your eBay popularity.
