  1. Microsoft's controller drifting solution: buy a new one

So I've recently come to the end of the line with Microsoft Support on this drifting issue with my controllers. Their only solution for me was to buy new controllers. What a load of CRAP!!! It all started about 3 weeks ago when I noticed the drifting on
the left analog of my primary controller. I then switched over to the controller that I rarely use and noticed the drifting on the right analog.

This worried me so I started searching for answers on the forums and throughout the internet. I have tried the suggestions by a forum mod (Mister Quimby I believe)....updated both controllers, unplugged console for 5 min, and re-synced the controllers with
the system. It did not work. So I tried his other suggestion to try to get a replacement, but that also failed since the warranty for both controllers have expired.

I opened a case with Microsoft Support and they advised me to test these controllers out on another system or try to use a friend's controller on my Xbox One so that they can isolate the issue. I tested my controllers on my friend's console and still experienced
the same drifting issue with both controllers. I proceeded to contact Xbox Support via chat and explained everything to the rep, but unfortunately, he told me my console warranty has expired so the only solution would be to buy a new controller. I was furious,
but explained to him that I know it's not his fault and that I just needed to vent my frustrations.

    Here's more of me venting...

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I have been a loyal Xbox customer for well over 5 years and have never had such a horrible experience with a resolution to a problem. This is obviously a known issue with your controllers. Your forums are flooded with customers
like myself voicing their frustrations with this issue. But instead of working to fix this issue or offer your loyal controllers a reasonable solution (e.g. replace their faulty controllers free of charge regardless of the crappy 1 year warranty - which is
another thing that boggles my mind because if they truly stand by their products, the warranties would surely be longer than 1 year), you greedy people want to make a quick buck and tell your customers to "shoo go away" and just cough up another $60 for a
new controller. I know companies like Microsoft just care about profit margins, but regardless, I feel like I need to express my DISGUST and DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!

P.S. I am not a child. I do not bash and mash my controllers. I have never thrown or dropped my controller out of anger. This is not an issue of "wear and tear." This is an issue of faulty controller software or hardware that needs to be addressed to the
    Xbox One community.

    :)

  2. New Xbox one Controller D pad issues

No D-pad issues here, but still looking for a solution to my controller drifting issue. I've tried every suggestion and contacted Support on numerous occasions but keep coming to a dead end. Microsoft's only solution is for me to go out and buy a new controller.

    Controller analogue drift

Has anyone found a fix for this? There are a fair few "solutions" on youtube, but I've not tried them all.

I have 3 faulty (drifting) controllers now. I'm sick of buying new ones.

Controller is Moving up by itself.

I have exactly the same issue with my day one edition controller, constantly drifting up!

    Analog drift

    Hi There,

Unfortunately this will require either sending in the controller to be repaired or buying a completely new one. I had drift in my original xbox one controller and I just bought a new one.

    Right Side of Controller inoperable

Only thought would be trying a known to be working controller with the system. If it works then the controller is bad and needs to be replaced. If it doesn't then the system has an issue. I had a Day One controller that had a right stick drift up issue and
only solution was buy a replacement to make sure it was the controller and to use while I mailed it back to Microsoft for a replacement day one.

Controller Stick Drift every so often.

I have had controller drift with 3 different controllers causing me to buy new ones. For me, I think its the best bet although controllers are pretty expensive .
