    I'll start by saying I totally understand that systems and infrastructures as complex as the Live Network are going to have moments were patches need updating, errors occur, and general maintenance and downtime will happen.

    That's just an annoying part of life and we have to deal with it.

    What I do think is extremely poor however, is your handling of this situation.

    1 - The complete lack of customer service / communication at a time when we need it most. I understand completion times may not be possible to even estimate at this given moment, but even a tweet / user message on live saying "this is the problem, this is
    what we're currently doing" with occasional updates would put a lot more people at ease with the situation.

    2 - The "service status" section of your website is utterly useless, firstly, it wasn't updated until 20 minutes or so after I'd constantly been trying to log in to no avail..... the only reason I saw others were having the issue was because of all the tweets
    online of other users getting extremely fed up. The thing that annoys me most about this is how much it is playing down a clearly huge problem. Judging by the tweets, and even this forum, a LOT of people are having issues with this...it's impossible for us
    to know how many, but essentially (seeing as the majority of people I know all buy digital games these days), we have an expensive piece of plastic that does nothing sat in our front rooms.

    3 - .....and I think this bit [Mod Removed – Profanity] me of the most......... Starting your one tweet to the users with "Oops", as if you've casually just knocked over a glass of milk, or accidentally leaked a game trailer or something else
    trivial does not make you sound like a "hip cool social media savvy company"....... It makes you look like you couldn't give a
    [Mod Removed – Profanity]. I know that's not the case, but at times like this, I'm sure we as a community want you to get your professional game faces on ('scuse the pun) and just sort your
    [Mod Removed – Profanity] out whilst keeping us updated!

    I know it seems silly how mad people are getting at a slight bit of downtime, I even feel a bit silly spending this time writing this message over not being able to play a computer game when I'm a 29 year old adult.... but people use (and let's face it -
    rely!) on xbox as a means to de-stress / escape reality / socialise / and basically just enjoy themselves.

    I'm not going to throw out loose threats of "I'll move to Playstation" "I'll stop paying my subscription" blablabla......... because let's face it. You've had problems in the past, but I along with many other people have stuck by you for over a decade, and
    championed you in the never ending arguments you get into in the console wars with friends.....

    I just hope you do have someone who occasionally looks through these discussion boards, takes on constructive criticism, and filters these sorts of feedback up to the people that will make a decision to do better!!

    Dying light season pass not downloading??

    I have been on the techland forums and apparently the first of the dlc will hit us on the 10th of feb . I don't know what this dlc will be but still whether this was bad advertising or a technical issue the situation has been handled poorly with no real
    help from Xbox or techland teams. We are the customers that keep these companies alive and deserve better than what we have recieved.

    @XboxSupport have put out a couple of tweets this evening making note that they are aware of the issue and they were working on it. It's hard to put a time frame on these things because if it takes longer than the perimeters they say, there's even more outrage.
    So it's best not to even put a time frame on it.

    I'm just as frustrated as the thousands of others out there tonight unable to play my games. But it's technology. It's not perfect. It's bound to act up. So I just take it and hope it comes up soon.

    There is usually a delay updating the service page as they will be investigating what the issue is where it has come from and how widespread it is.

    Ruling out a local service or ISP issue etc.

    The game time and 20mins isn't that long why you are trying to find and fix an issue. On the receiving end though it does feel like forever.
     
  9. Coming from a profession where outages are common, The technical support team can only work so fast its a small handful of people working to resolve an outage it sucks but it happens, outages can lead to many avenues of approach to attempt to fix the problem
    so trying to pin down the source and cause of an issue can take time.

    Coming from a profession where outages are common, The technical support team can only work so fast its a small handful of people working to resolve an outage it sucks but it happens, outages can lead to many avenues of approach to attempt to fix the problem
