    So Im making this for posterity as I wait another 24-72 hours for help

    I bought halo reach by mistake on the 6th, I had planned on getting the MC collection.

    I tried to refund it, and made a ticket on the 6th.

    The refund process was a disaster, as the option didn't even exist the day I bought it. People helped me finally submit a ticket. Going through that hell, I decided to buy reach on steam instead (i thought I could later buy the bundle with a discount - but
    thats another story lol).

    So I figure "okay, request sent, refund coming in". I didnt worry about it, and worried myself with finals. To my despair, I realize they never sent me an email. Never got a refund.

    Okay, lets make another ticket, and kindly explain that I made one the day of my purchase. So I do that. New ticket.

    They deny the request, saying its ineligible due to one of their refund policies.

    Now, I've tried emailing them (this is what customer support tells me to do), to which they just close the ticket without saying a word. They don't say a word, its all robot scripted
    [Mod Removed - Profanity]. Ive emailed them 6+ times, and they've closed it every time. Every time I talk to customer support, they say to email them. Its a disgusting loop that I can't escape from.

    So I kindly ask you, the community (and anyone else), what makes my request ineligible? I wanted a refund on day one, and hadn't even installed reach. Oh sure, it says clearerlamp (my tag) has played reach, but thats through my steam copy. So, why
    [Mod Removed - Profanity] am I ineligible? I haven't even touched my digital copy from Microsoft.

    Ill provide ticket numbers and emails if there's someone from the refund department who can help me. They're almost impossible to contact directly it seems, which is honestly why I cant be bothered anymore to use the Microsoft store. This whole experience
    has convinced me to never use the Microsoft Store ever again, even if they have exclusives. Its such a pain, that I'd rather miss out - which is beyond disappointing.

    wowee its almost like I did that and am being ignored by the refund department. Amazing.

    I am out of options, the customer support and refund department are so segregated that Im stuck in some hideous loop

    Thanks for your post. I understand you are looking for information on the refund eligibility for your recent purchase of Halo: Reach. If a recent request was denied, any concerns must be addressed with a refund agent by responding to the denial email. Since
    refund are not directly addressed and issued over the Xbox Forum, there is no further support that can be offered.

    I haven't encountered any company that doesn't refund gift cards and Microsoft itself refunds Microsoft Store gift cards, it's only Xbox gift cards that seem to be non-refundable for reasons no one can explain to me. Guess I'm just screwed :(
