    Hey all!

So, in December 2019 I bought a new Xbox One Controller for Windows 10. With the wireless adapter and all.

Set it up in the XBOX Accessoires and let it update.

Now, it doesn't get recognized anymore. If I connect it via USB, it works fine.

If I disconnect it and try to get wireless access, it doesn't work.

I tried syncing the stick with the controller again and it just flashes for as long as I press it. No steady light.

I don't know what to do anymore.

    :)

Xbox 360 wireless controller for windows 7

By "latest version of the adapter", you mean
    this adapter
, then this will not work with Xbox 360 controllers. This one is only designed for Xbox One controllers.

Microsoft doesn't seem to sell the 360 wireless receiver anymore, but you can
    get it here from Amazon
    .

For the 360 wireless receiver, yes, that is all you need to hook up your 360 controller to the PC. Press the sync button on both the adapter and controller, it should connect without a problem and be instantly recognized by your Windows 7 system.

    Xbox One Wireless Controller

    Hi,

You can use a standard Bluetooth adaptor. The Microsoft wireless adaptor for Xbox One/Series X|S controllers doesn't use Bluetooth.

If you want standard connectivity then you can use a BT USB dongle (or built in BT if your device has this). The Microsoft adaptor offers more features such as the use of more than one controller, and the usage of your controller's headphone socket while wireless.
