This right here does not have anything to do with Microsoft - (The card tells me to scratch off the back to reveal a pin number and then to go to the website https://code.giftcards.com)

It appears is a site related to how Target has their gift cards setup. Walmart does a similar thing, they have their own site for their own cards.

You'll need to work with the company that you got the card from. Once you redeem their custom code correctly, then you'll get a 25 character Microsoft code.

Neither Xbox nor Microsoft can do anything about your Target code until you get your 25 character code.

Xbox account = Microsoft account
Xbox gift card = Microsoft gift card, no matter what gift card (Xbox or Microsoft) you have. You're going to receive Microsoft balance directly in your account and you can purchase via Microsoft.com and Xbox.com with that money

You're not going to "redeem" Minecraft java and bedrock. You're going to purchase directly the game for your account. Once purchased the game is going to appear in the order history (https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders)

If you want a redeemable code in that case you need to gift the game and use the balance to pay
