Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset

Hi,

I recently purchased the Xbox One 1TB bundle from Game UK. The bundle came with the newly designed controller and chat headset with a 3.5 jack that plugs directly in to the controller without the need for an adapter. I am impressed with the new headset and
want to purchase one for my son. I have been informed that this new headset is not available to purchase as a stand alone item. The question is: What is the point of releasing a new controller with jack plug but no availability of a headset to fit it?

Cannot get mic to work on x41 on xbox one

You can use it, as I used to have the same headset on my xbox one. Although I was using the microsoft stereo headset adapter to connect the X41 chat lead to the controller.

There are loads of headsets that fit it. Infact any with a 3.5 jack connection.

Thoes which say they are compactable with Xbox one in the title or on the box will work.

For headsets that don’t you can get the Microsoft chat headset adaptor to allow unsupported headsets to work.
