    Microsoft Xbox Live Cloud Inquiry

I’ve contacted Microsoft Xbox support to no avail and done my own research. So, I’m hoping this community might point me in the right direction.

My Xbox Live Cloud Storage is “99% Full.” And, there has to be or needs to be a URL or a way on PC to sift through hundreds of uploads.

The Xbox won’t allow me to upload anything to my xbox live account unless I delete something first -- after going to it on my xbox and deleting it. Which is a vastly slower process than it should be!

    :)

OneDrive is just an additional cloud storage space to post your clips. For instance if you have a great clip you want to save forever (or an extended period of time), you can throw that in OneDrive and then delete it off your console and the Xbox network. Kind of as a shared clip collection space.

There currently is a limit to the number of clips you can have uploaded to the Xbox network. However, there isn't a way to see where you are on that limit without getting the above mentioned message since every clip can be of different length and quality.

I do value the feedback from the reply and will take the recommendations going forward!

    Greetings King,

I understand your frustrations and will be more than happy to help.

Is this relating to game captures and shareable content in your collection?

If so, you can follow the following steps to help do mass edits/deletions of your captures on a Windows 10 PC.

    1) Open the Xbox Companion App on your Windows 10 computer

    - You can download the companion app off the Windows Store

    2) Once installed and launched, make sure to login with your profile

    3) At the home screen, select the captures button on the left hand side

-It will look like a movie screen with a controller sitting in front

    4) You will now be in your captures area with a "On this PC" and "On Xbox Live" options at top

    5) Go to the "On Xbox Live" section

    6) This may take a minute to load but all your clips that have been uploaded to the cloud will now load here

    7) You can use the filters at the top to filter by type (clip or screenshot) and date

-I would recommend to look at your clips first as they usually take up the majority of space

    8) Edit or Delete your available clips here and free up some space.

Alternatively, you can use the "Captures and Sharing" section of the guide on your Xbox itself

    1) Open the Xbox guide and go to the "Capture and Share" section

    2) Go to recent captures and open one of your recent clips

    3) Navigate to the bottom and click "show all captures"

    4) use the filters at the top to select "On the Xbox Network" and "Game Clips"

    5) Click the button in the upper right to change your view into list mode (looks like a list with check marks next to it)

    6) Select the clips you wish to delete

-You can manually select each one or use the select all button in the top right

    7) Click the delete button on one clip it will erase all clips selected

    8) Confirm deletion and you are good to go!

Keep in mind that both of these processes will only delete the clips on the Xbox network, they will still exist on your console unless you select the "On Both" option during the deletion step. (This step is only available when done on the console)

This should free up some space to get some new clips uploaded and shared!

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Stan,

I've been trying to get my head around the terms, Xbox network and Onedrive.

Prior to the name change from XBox Live to Xbox network, when you uploaded a screenshot or clip it would appear in the Activity feed of your Xbox profile.

Now the uploaded screenshot or clip is stored before choosing where to share it.

I understand the change is for privacy issues with sharing etc, and much prefer this new system, but wonder if I really need Onedrive if I keep my Xbox network storage space under a limit.

With the Xbox app on my mobile phone I can download from the Xbox network instead of Onedrive.

Does uploading to Xbox network have a storage space limit?

Is there a way to determine storage space used on the Xbox network?

Can I still have the saves of an old Gamepass game that I deleted from my computer last October?

Hello, Yusuf B. I'm Arturo, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

Yes, you will be able to retrieve your progress because the game is compatible with the cloud saving feature.

So if you purchase it from the Microsoft Store, after opening the game, the latest uploaded to the cloud progress will be downloaded.

I hope you find this answer helpful to your inquiry.

    Regards,

    Arturo.

I would like to buy a Fortnite pack from the Microsoft store but for an Epic Games account only linked to PS4.

Hello, Priyan U. I'm Arturo, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

If you don't link accounts, the content you decide to purchase on the Microsoft account will not be transferred to PS4 and PC.

So, you may want to link your Epic Games account and your Microsoft account before purchasing the desired content on the store.

Not only that, but it is important to mention that sometimes, to access the content you purchased through the Microsoft Store, you may need to open the Xbox version of Fortnite to receive the content.
If you live in a country where cloud gaming is supported, you can receive the content by opening Fortnite via cloud gaming.

I hope you find this answer helpful to your inquiry. However, I'll remain attentive to any other one you may have.

    Regards,

    Arturo,
