  1. Microsoft wireless series headset

Hi all! Today I received my anticipated wireless series headset. Being extremely curious for the sound quality I instantly tried connecting the headset via bluetooth to my phone and listened to some music (which was surprisingly good). After connecting it via the included USB-c cable to the console (series x) a system message popped for an update. I followed all the instructions and after the update finished, i restarted the headset and the console (just in case, since I didnt have any audio at that point). To my surprise, when everything turned on, once again I had no sound from the xbox. I tried the hard reset of the headset but with no result. To this moment I have a Microsoft headset for xbox that works perfectly via bluetooth with my phone but not at all with my console ... please advise because this is really disappointing.

    :)

New Xbox Wireless Headset (2021) constant disconnecting

Just got a brand new Series X with the Wireless headset and its cracking, distorting and dropping connection every few minutes or so. When it gets bad, it will drop entirely for a few seconds at a time before reconnecting.

I've tried hard resetting, unpairing and pairing, updating to 9.22 firmware three times and still have the issue.

This is so frustrating after spending upwards of $600 for this setup.

Question for the forum is...have you all tried other headsets? I'm curious if the problem lies with my Series X or just this headset. As I see the options as being:

    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset for another Microsoft Wireless Headset.
    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset and get a 3rd party headset.
    • Warranty the Series X if the problem lies with specific hardware units.
    Thanks for you insight.

Thank you both, you and Mohammed with the comment above for your support and help! Apparently these smart devices are too smart for me and I just realised I had the mixer knob all the way to party chat- so naturally all other sounds were muted. Thankfully I won't have to go through the return struggle!!!

Everything works fine now and once again, thank you for the instant help and excuse me for that silly post!
