    There is a buzzing / static sound in the left ear cup, i have reset it, changed the audio settings and nothing works. Has anyone had this problem and is there any fix? Should I get a replacement or is this common for a wireless headset?

    :)

    Hi RustyPorkSword!

    I'm Jen, an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

    Try turning off ‘mic monitoring’ and check if the buzzing goes away. This solution has worked for some users in the community. This seems like a bug since a lot of users have also reported this issue. You may also check the following related thread below.

    Hello RustyPorkSword, I am the specialist Nercindo C. an independent consultant! We'll see how I can help you.

    I am sorry to be experiencing this problem, I know it is boring because I have been through it myself. I leave below some methods to try to solve this inconvenience.

    Method 1

    Restore the sound patterns.

    1. Press the Windows + R keys and type mmsys.cpl;

    2. On the Playback tab, select your sound device (Speakers or Headphones).

    3. Click Properties.

    4. Click the Advanced tab, then select Restore Defaults, and click OK.

    5. Restart the system and run tests.

    Method 2

    Setting the default Microphone.

    1. Press the Windows + R keys and type mmsys.cpl;

    2. Click the Playback tab> Microphone, and click Properties> Properties;

    3. Click Set Default or Set as Default Device.

    Method 3

    Revert the version of the current driver installed.

    1. Press the Windows + R keys and type mmsys.cpl;

    2. Click the Playback tab> Microphone and click Properties> Properties;

    3. Click on the Driver tab and check if the Revert option is available, if yes, make the reversion.

    4. Restart the computer.

    Method 4

    Uninstall the sound controller using the current driver installed.

    1. Click on the Start Menu, type and click on Device Manager;

    2. Click the arrow that points to Audio inputs and outputs;

    3. Right-click on the installed device and click uninstall;

    4. Restart the computer.

    Method 5

    Installing other driver versions.

    1. Click on the Start Menu, type and click on Device Manager;

    2. Click the arrow that points to Audio inputs and outputs;

    3. Right-click on the installed device and click Properties;

    4. Click on the Driver tab, after Update Driver then Search for Computer Driver Software;

    5. Click Allow me to choose from a list of device drivers on the Computer;

    Tip: It is possible to list the other versions of the drivers that have already been installed, select and install one by one if there is one.

    When installing each version, restart the system.

    Method 6

    Perform sound troubleshooting.

    1. On the taskbar, look for the sound manager;

    2. Right-click on it and select Properties;

    3. After presenting the options for possible correction, wait for the verification.

    4. Check the sound device, if you have a correction option, run it. Then restart the system and run tests.

    Method 7

    Install the two drivers provided by the manufacturer for the audio, but first, disable the Windows Update search for new drivers.

    1. Press the Windows + R keys, type sysdm.cpl and click OK;

    2. In System Properties, click the Hardware tab> Device Installation Settings

    3. In the dialog box that opens, select No> Save Changes> Ok.

    Restart the system and run tests.

    I hope this information can help you.

    Let me know if this works for you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi Jen

    This doesn't either, I've noticed that the sound disappears when it is hardwired to the USB port on the console? Not sure if I'm hearing static noises as it is wireless.
