Microsoft wants your PS3?

The Last of Us is a stealth game and I suck at stealth games. Now in most of them my lack of talent isn't an issue, mess up and you can fight your way out and start again.

Waste of time trying to fight in The Last of Us. As soon as you are spotted you might as well hit Restart from Checkpoint because you are just going to get bum-rushed.

 

Last of Us was definitely one of the best games to hit any of the consoles in the PS3/X360 generation.... at least in my opinion anyway.

Aside from Telltale's The Walking Dead, nothing came close to grabbing me and keeping me hooked.

 

Keep your PS3 and buy a PS4 instead after all it costs $100 less than the Xbox One and its far more powerful.

 

I'm pretty sure that MS run a similar promotion for trading in iPads towards Surface tabs. As already said, it comes down to forcing your loyalty. If they can get you to buy an Xbox One then that's great but if they can make the Xbox One the only console
you have then even better, your only option is to keep buying Xbox stuff putting more money in their pocket. Essentially it creates a short term loss, long term profit solution.

Given that they'll be recycling the PS3s for cash and you'll have to buy games for your Xbox too, they probably make that $100 back the moment you leave the checkout. After that they just wait for your to buy your future games and accessories and watch it
rain cash.
