To me, the OP is basically wanting what PS4 does. If you want that, then go to PS4. XBL is an AMAZING service and they have every right to charge you to do anything over the internet with their device. Without paying for Netflix, Skype and all the other
features that require gold, its just Microsoft losing money. They have to pay people to work on and maintain the software and infrastructure to make streaming video possible. If you want cheap or free stuff, go to Sony. Microsoft will continue to provide the
best quality and service in the industry.

Should they stop it in order to make F2P games TRULY free to play?

Honestly I don't mind Xbox Live Gold because Microsoft is doing their upmost to make it worth our money (Game Pass Ultimate) I think it's fine as it is, I fully understand what you're getting at but as long as the service is worth what we pay for is it really
a problem?

I will never understand a system that will take money out of your account and than tell you have to wait. Especially when they are claiming half off for the weekend. They know they are trying to get people to buy these points and then not give them what
they pay for. In this digital age these games thrive on people like us to pay for something ahead of time for something we could have got later if we had worked for it and waited. Fine you got us to pay. Now give us what we paid for!!!! By the time they get
this back up and running i will be 2 more prestige higher and probably have the rare drops I was hoping to buy in the first place. If the system wasn't working, tell us that before you take our money!! If I wanted to preorder something it sure as hell wouldn't
be COD points!

Problem is, there are people who will buy it. They're making money off of our nature to be both lazy and impatient. If we want something now, but cba to move, people will pay stupid money. Even though, no one, even on release paid such an absurd price.
