    Microsoft "Wallet" question regarding buying XBL Gold.


    I have 60$ sitting in my Microsoft account. If I opt to buy Gold, will it pull the money from my account first or go to whatever CC I designated to link my account to?

    I do not believe you can use any of your Microsoft money for purchase of gold. It requires either a credit card or pre-paid card. You can buy digital content with it however

    you are correct axe only way to get gold is A: pay for it with a credit card or electronic payment like PayPal, or B: the gold card for 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year. the wallet money can only be used to buy stuff in the marketplace like games, add on content,
    movies/videos, etc.

    If you're having problems buying XBL Gold through your console or the website, you can still get a prepaid code from your local gaming store and redeem it on the account in question.
