Long press the Controller Nexus button to bring up a menu and select Restart console.

If the issue persists after a Restart, shut down the console, remove the power cable and then restart your network hardware. Once the network is connected (green lights) restore power to the console and power it on.

Let's try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation loading
screen when you power it back up. then tr to play

Can you please press and hold the power button on the front of the console for about 10-15 seconds once the console has shut down and the power light has gone orange restart the console and hopefully this will resolve your issue.

First try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Thanks. Tried it again just in case it worked this time. Started up, commenced a game update which was paused, then it froze. Tried to clear local storage, , it completely froze, no screen. We've tried multiple factory resets as well.

Since the September update, when you turn on the console at the plug the power brick light goes white straight away and the console sounds like it's on, without the logo lighting up, before going silent again. If you try to turn on the console using the
controller during this period you have to wait about 30 seconds for this process to finish before it boots up.

If you shut down and restart at any point, without turning off at the plug/unplugging, it goes orange on the power brick and restarts as normal. It's just the initial turning on which seems to be going through this new process.

Instant on mode is unaffected as the power brick light remains white at all times.

Any idea why this is now happening, the process it's going through, or could it be a bug released with the update?
