Microsoft Ultimate Word Games won't start

I've been having problems with MUWG starting. It tries to sync with the cloud, but can't sync. Then asks me if I want to disable cloud syncing, and when you say yes, it takes me to the very beginning screen as though I've never played it before. This
happened a month ago, too, and I lost all my achievements and awards for a year and a half back. Ideas?

I have uninstalled the game and re-installed it with no luck.

Hello chrisser49,

For your problem you may need to reset your data.

To do this do the following:

Open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

Scroll until you find Microsoft Ultimate Word Games.

Click on it then go to advanced options then click on reset. Try loading the program again, this should help.

If not working please always try to look for the latest version as some of this issues are fixed with updates.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get Microsoft Ultimate Word Games to launch appropriately. I can understand how this could be frustrating after a bit. Seeing as this is happening with what we call a Microsoft Casual Game,

I will suggest uninstalling the game and installing it again.

I have uninstalled and re-installed, and tried the Reset several times. No luck. My Surface has been updated. Any other ideas?
