Dangerboy4020, that is not what Phil Spencer stated. You are implying that he was stating nothing will happen, that is not correct. He (PS) stated, “I’m not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we’re going to move forward,
I want to move forward in big numbers,”.

That is quiet a different statement then, not going to happen. In short, False Equivalence.

I'm all for upgrading my XBOX every couple of years. MS take my money. People have no problems spending double the price for a controller that will give you little to no advantage, but complain that there might be a new console out that could possibly double
the performance they have now. I don't get it?

Mogwai Warrior, what a lot of people are upset about is the concept they might be alienated from Software that can no longer run on older versions of the SKU Consoles if they do not purchase the newest SKU each iteration. People
are also concerned that Devs and Devs resources are going to be fractured and to what area is the resource allocated with each Copy of each Game for each SKU.

The list can go on but it's a very tricky concept to pull off. If it works everything will be much better but if it fails it will crash and burn miserably. Even under the best case scenario there are going to compromises that never really existed in the Console
Market before. Even if it succeeds, it is going to drastically change the face of the Market. People are scared of change, especially when its large.

  6. I said months ago that whats coming is a streaming service, where MS/Sony keeps/maintains/upgrades the hardware on their end, then streams your games in 4k to you via a set top box.

All you got to is buy/rent the box, and maintain 50 or better kbps net speeds. Meaning the console/games you buy you'll never actually get to physically touch.

    Xbox X-Stream perhaps?

About time, MS should have done this 12 months ago. Lets just hope they look at the NEO specs and try and go one better. Also they need to heavily discount for trading the xbox one in.

If they fail to do this I think its safe to say Xbox as a leading brand will die. (hope not)

^^ If they offered a big trade in for the Xbox One that would be cool.

There were some good deals for trading in the 360 to upgrade, but they need to offered in all locations not just some.

If it's only the specs the rumoured Neo is rocking with I wouldn't be trading in my Xboxone at all. 1 year to 2 years and I'll be ready to buy an upgraded one.

if they start fragmenting consoles, then its time to really consider giving it up, the cost alone that devs need to recoup by placing extra content on discs and more programming will be pushed onto the consumer. then end of consoles as we know them is numbered,
pc may now be the better platform.

I only trust sources from Microsoft's websites or their official Xbox YouTube channel. Gamespot isn't one of them.

I actually invested in a gaming desktop with 6th gen Intel Core i7 6700k CPU (4Ghz base speed, turbo boost to 4.2Ghz, can be unlocked to achieve higher speeds, 8MB Cache, 4 cores, 8 threads), 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz RAM, and Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 390 8GB vRAM
GDDR5 GPU with bandwidth of 384Gb/s which thrashes PS4's GDDR5 bandwidth of 176GB/s. I decided to get the PC from a special New Zealand computer company so that I can play The Sims 4, Cities Skylines, and Planet Coaster (I have the Alpha version of Planet
Coaster. The game is AMAZING! me love heaps!). And the hardware can cope easily with playing those games in 1920x1080 HIGH settings. It can even go for 4k since the R9 390 has 8GB vRAM GDDR5 with 384GB/s I read one report it has slightly higher bandwidth than
the GTX Titan GPU. Not go for 4GB GTX 970 as Nvidia had a legal issue that the GTX 970 only has 3.5GB super fast memory, the last 0.5GB memory in the 4GB GPU is very slow memory. R9 is FULLY Direct X12 compatible and has a whopping 8GB vRAM.
