    Microsoft Teams on Xbox for Text/Party Chat


    After knowing Microsoft was in talks of purchasing Discord and that didn't go through along with Microsoft officially announcing Teams being available for personal use; I can't help think that somehow this may come to the Xbox Ecosystem.

    Current Xbox messaging has always been a tad slow and I feel if they somehow incorporated Teams into the Xbox Ecosystem it would make a great tie in for cross platform party chat and text chat between PC and Xbox. It would also be a great alternative to Discord if they could do this and make it the primary communication method over the current Xbox messaging/chat platform.

    What is everyone's thoughts?

    check xbox status, all of party chat and text chat was down most of the night, there is never a weekend where microsoft does not have issues, they are getting as bad as ea.

    Xbox uses voice chat (party chat). There is no text chat in Roblox on Xbox One. It was removed awhile back.

    On ps3 party chat is ONLY text based you had no option for voice chat in party chat. So id say far from worse lol. Guess you havent tryed the PS3 party chat xD

    Try this procedure, hope it helps. You can enable the Text Conversation Chat or Speech Conversation Chat features. To do this:- Go to the game's main menu and select the Settings tab. - Enter the Accessibility submenu. - Select Enable Text to Speech Chat or Enable Speech to Text Chat. To mute or unmute the microphone, highlight your Gamertag and press the OPTIONS button. In-game chat is enabled. You cannot hear party audio and the party cannot hear your voice. To switch to party audio, select [Party Settings] > [Chat Audio].
