Microsoft Sudoku Pain on Surface 7 Pro in Tablet Mode

Sudoku worked fine on the Surface Pro 7 with caveats. If you had Sudoku in full screen mode, the app would decide the Surface had invalid resolution. Bring out the keyboard, it would work, and you could collapse the keyboard and life was good. I eventually found the double arrows in the upper right would "fix" it. The display had two modes, what I considered full screen and windowed. In full screen, the app wouldn't start without the keyboard out. In windowed, the app would approve the resolution.

For the last three days, my workaround stopped working. Sudoku 2.6.7221.0 will swap to portrait mode when the Surface is in tablet mode, no matter what. I even used resolution lock in landscape mode, and Sudoku still swaps to portrait mode. Now, the only way to play Sudoku on the Surface Pro 7 that I've found is with the keyboard out. As soon as the keyboard is flipped back, Sudoku swaps to portrait mode and determines the resolution is invalid.

Resolution is 2736x1824, 150%, which seems to be default. I would hope you could allow your game to play on your own tablet. The game never required

okay so the issue may be with the game not being able to downscale to fit the %150 zoom, you may be able to change the zoom back to %100 and see if that fixes it.

I'm also having this problem on Surface pro 4 for Mahjong and Sudoku. Just downloaded and tried minesweeper and it's doing it there too. I actually have no problems playing these games on my old Surface pro 1 (with windows 10 installed on it too). The only
game that works on surface pro 4 is Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

I have the Nexus 7 which i love and is great for smart glass, but I personally think the best full sized tablet on the market (since mine is only 7 inches) is the Surface Pro. Though it is the priciest since its basically a computer
disguised as a tablet.

I agree completely. I've even gone into my Task Manager and checked off everything else that's running, turned them off and still find Microsoft Sudoku too slow, making it worthless. Even frustrating! I've noted this to Microsoft and haven't had the courtesy
of a single response. Even the aads running on the game site are running slowing. I have tested this on my Surface Pro, my desktop and tablet. Same problem.

will be a 3rd Xbox console.
