Microsoft Sudoku not synchronising past achievements

The new version installed itself on my PC over a week ago but it did not upload all my past achievements and progress over the past years. They are all still visible in the Xbox companion. There are no outstanding updates for Windows 10. I have uninstalled
rebooted and reinstalled. Cleared the windows store cache and made sure it is up to date, cleared all temporary files and followed all the advice given on the microsoft website but nothing helps. This is very frustrating. Can it be fixed

make sure your microsoft account is connected with your pc and if that dosent work visit support.xbox.com

Microsoft mahjong and solitaire are synchronizing normally. I do not have an Xbox, but play these games on my Windows 10 PC. I have tried most of the fixes listed but many do not apply.

Solution 2: Check your achievement progress online

You can check the progress of your achievement online to verify that your console has synchronised with Xbox Live.

To view your achievements online:

1.Sign in at xbox.com and select Achievements.

2.Select the title of the achievement you're trying to unlock.

3.If the achievement appears under “Achievements,” it's already unlocked.

If the achievement appears under “Locked Achievements,” either the console isn't yet synchronised with Xbox Live or the achievement was not successfully unlocked.

I just noticed that the one I was calling a duplicate seems to be linked to the Sudoku app on my Win10 device and the other linked to the Sudoku app on my Android device. Seems there are several other duplicate achievements for games like Mahjong and Minesweeper.
I am connecting with the same Microsoft Account from both devices so I am surprised its creating duplicate achievements. Is this a bug?

Kindly try the following;

- Double check your achievement progress on your console. If you completed the requirements to unlock the achievement on your console but it doesn't show, it may not be synchronised with Xbox Live. Allow up to 72 hours for this synchronisation to take place.

- Check your achievement progress online. If the achievement appears under "Achievements" it is unlocked. If the achievement appears under “Locked Achievements,” either the console isn't yet synchronised with Xbox Live or the achievement was not successfully unlocked.

- Ensure you're connected to the internet / Xbox Live. If a completed achievement hasn't appeared online after 72 hours, your console may not be connected to Xbox Live. If you completed an achievement or challenge while offline, you won't receive related notices or rewards until you connect to Xbox Live.

- Restart your console. Restarting your console will ensure that any achievements awaiting synchronisation on the console are re-sent to Xbox Live.

- Remove and redownload your account. The account information stored on your console may be out of date. To update your account information, delete and then redownload your account.
