Microsoft Sudoku is running very slowly

I play both Microsoft Solitare and Sudoku. Solitare runs great. Sudoku is extremely slow and annoying. Why is this and , more importantly, why has nobody fixed it yet ?

Ad data loading halts game

There is presently a Lowes ad running on Sudoku. It loads so slowly that it freezes the game. Lowes can't be happy that their ad is annoying their customers!

try reopening the game as it seems it has gone back to the bug of first time you play it runs slow

 

I agree completely. I've even gone into my Task Manager and checked off everything else that's running, turned them off and still find Microsoft Sudoku too slow, making it worthless. Even frustrating! I've noted this to Microsoft and haven't had the courtesy
of a single response. Even the aads running on the game site are running slowing. I have tested this on my Surface Pro, my desktop and tablet. Same problem.

 

I am having the same problem. I feel like it's being caused by the ads, when they slow down, the game slows down. However, the timer keeps running, and I can't make any moves; it's like the gameboard is frozen. So totally frustrating!

 

I have had the same problem. I'm really getting disgusted with this and about ready to quit.

 

The adds are not loading and it will not let us play until they load. When the add finally flashes up then you know you can make the next move.

If you are fast you can make a couple of moves before the next add doesn't load. Would think they could fix this. when it takes 2 minutes for

adds to load is sucks

 

They had the same problem about four months ago. It got better for a little while, but in the last three days, it's worse than ever. Has anyone ever received a response from someone at Microsoft on these forums, or are we just supposed to feel better because
we vent our frustrations here?

 

I agree. Sudoku has all the problems of any store app or game I've ever tried to use. The longer you play, the slower it gets. Impossible to play for an extended period of time without restarting. Every fastest time I have for every level is always from
the first game I've played in any session. I've had it freeze and crash, and this is on an Asus ROG machine that shreds just about everything.

Then again, maybe this is why: MS games make a call to the server every time you click. Even though the game doesn't use much in the way of bandwidth, I think we can blame a lot of the problems on MS/Xbox Sudoku servers. It would
certainly make much more sense to run the game on your local machine and just serve the original set-up and send the results back to MS.
