Microsoft Sudoku and Microsoft Jigsaw freeze up

I am having problems with Microsoft Sudoku and Microsoft Jigsaw freezing up as I'm playing the games. It is making timed games impossible to win. and very frustrating. It appears to be related to the little window that changes ads. It goes black and then
nothing will move. I love the game but am ready to delete them as it is so frustrating. Please fix them. Both games are doing this on the daily challenges. Thank you. I get error messages that won't even send.

Microsoft Casual Games

Microsoft Sudoku keeps locking up and then crashing. I've restarted my computer and my computer is up to date. Plus I have Norton 360 to help keep my computer safe. It's not just Microsoft Sudoku that's crashing. It's Microsoft Jigsaw and Microsoft Mahjong
keep locking up and crashing. What gives Microsoft? Fix this please!!!!!

 

Sudoku freezing / rebooting

Ads are not loading. This causes the game to freeze up and reboot. Very frustrating after the 5th time of trying to complete the same game and getting punted each time. A few weeks ago, it was Microsoft Jigsaw, now it's Sudoku. Please fix!

Me, too! This is steadily getting worse, and the symptoms for myself and my wife (on a different computer) are exactly as ChicaB describes. I have tried chatting with Xbox Support, who referred me to Windows 10 Support, where I was talking to someone who
was clearly trying to help with an issue that was way above her pay grade, so I gave up. Hopefully someone who knows about the Apps and can involve someone at the right level to look at it will see the messages here.

I don't play jigsaw, but Microsoft Sudoku freezes as I am playing the game. Games freeze, then the game closes itself. Very frustrating when playing a game and have to start over and over to complete one game. Please fix Microsoft Sudoku for all of us
to continue using it.

 

I'm playing Jigsaw and getting the same frustrating problem. It all started for me on Memorial Day weekend when I reported an ad for a pornographic role playing site that kept coming up. I reported it 6 ways to Sunday before anyone did anything about it.
It seems like someone whipped together a handy-dandy filter to keep this ad from going into the lineup, but didn't clean up their pointers and/or set their test conditions correctly. So now instead of getting the offending ad, we get a black box or a white
box and everything freezes. BTW, the offensive ad still pops up in Microsoft Crossword.

 

I have gone as far as to email the company that authors Sudoku (Arkadium) and all they do is tell me to do things on my end as if it is my fault or my computer's fault. I have also tried the game on a second computer with the exact same result. Since it
is now the end of the month and I have several days that I cannot complete the challenges, this has ruined a perfect streak of solving the challenges which has gone on for at least 18 months now. I am through with this game if it cannot be fixed and I am
not allowed to finish those days even after the new month begins. I know Microsoft probably does not care about it, but I would think the advertisers would be interested in knowing that at least one less person is seeing their ads.
