    After an xbox update in the end of September I started having an issue. I started geting the error " unable to read game content, please stop Destiny 2 and retry". This error is plaguing me from 25th of September 2020. So far I have tried

    1. Reset the console and kept everything.

    2. Clear local saved games

    3. Uninstall and reinstall the game

    4. Removed the game from external HD and install on internal HD.

    Still didn't work. Then I came across a bug in MS store. To all the digital games MS store was recognising them as not installed, so, I tried installing Destiny 2 from MS store but it wouldn't let me install. The next step was

    1. I uninstalled the game again and reinstall the game from MS store which did work for a few Multiplayer games on Destiny 2 then the same issue started. Again, I went through the cycle of

    1. Resetting the console and not keeping the settings.

    2. Triggering the install of Destiny 2 from MS store

    Still getting the same error. My console is Xbox one X. As a last resort, I have logged onto a different Xbox one S with my account and played Destiny 2 for almost 2 hours without any errors on the same internet connection. Could anyone help please. Thanks.

    No. The Microsoft Store is Microsoft's retail store. The Xbox store is their digital store. They are considered separate.

    Hey there Sam!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue. Usually if you're unable to load that or the dashboard says as much, then it's a network issue. I would suggest trying to the steps here on our support page entitled
    "I get an error message when I run the 'Test multiplayer connection' on Xbox One"     as it's got a good amount of troubleshooting steps that could help fix that kind of thing.

    You can also just try powercycling the console as outlined in
    How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console     as that helps with a large number of different problems as well.

    When you get a chance, give that guide a look through and let us know if it helped resolve the issue.

    Thanks for the reply! I recommend trying a
    power cycle
    of the console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a
    soft factory reset of the console,
    Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out and let us know the results.
