    Microsoft Store Won't Download Games


    Hi,

    The microsoft PC gamepass seems like a great deal but unfortunately I can't download any games!

    I have tried both the MS Store App and the Xbox App for the PC.

    The error code the XBox app throws up is "Unknown Error 0x00000001"

    I have tried doing wsrest, the troubleshooter, and re-installing the store app. Then it worked and I was able to download sea of thieves, but it hasn't worked since despite me doing all this again.

    Come on Microsoft, it can't be this difficult to download a game...

    Anyone got any advice?

    Oh god, don't tell me I need to re-install my operating system...

    Any idea how I get more detailed error logs?

    My System:

    Win 10 Pro

    Version 10.0.19043 build 19043

    I have uninstalled my anti-virus just incase it was blocking it.

    Hello AndyC555, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H1?

    See which version of Windows 10 you have

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

    Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store.

    After you make updates, make sure the Xbox App Companion is installed and updated on your PC, along with Xbox Apps.

    I, of course, have the same problem, this is kinda stupid right now, look in the forums, in every language people having the same stupid problem. I can't believe this is not fixed already. Done everything, reinstalled windows, regedit, cmd, power shell, and the damn "gaming services" is still having issues.

    Same issue here I’ve run through all the trouble shoots, restarts, re installs I could. My pc is fully up to date, same with the Microsoft store. At one point it would get to 1MB then stop ran trouble shoots went to 20% a few times before stopping ran some more now it won’t do anything and gives me the same error code right away.

    It's started working now. I was able to download State of Decay 2.

    There appears to be no rhyme or reason to it, I didn't do anything...

    Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll download that windows update if it happens again.
