Microsoft store - problem sharing apps across devices

I have bought Minecraft for Xbox One, and understand it can also be downloaded to the new desktop PC we bought later.

    It's not easy.

I managed to get the info to link the accounts correctly in the Microsoft App Store. It then asks me to put in a 25 digit license code to confirm download.

I have the order number in the app store - but that's not a 25 digit code. Can't find the code and am stuck.

    Any thoughts?

    :)

Microsoft store - problem sharing apps across devices

Hi there - Minecraft has transferrable progress, but it's not (as far as I'm aware) a Play Anywhere title, so you have to re-purchase the game for PC, unfortunately. Unless you have Game Pass, where both versions of the game are included.

Sharing Gamepass with Kids in different Location

Spotify, Netflix, Apple (App store, Arcade, etc)… all support the idea of sharing across devices that may vary geographically. It isn’t a difficult concept to accommodate. I own the devices, they are registered under my account, they should all be able to share the subscription I pay for.

Thank you - that is a problem. I think MSFT needs to address this systematically. Apple's App-Sharing Featuring across its iOS devices is a much better model to follow.

Game Pass sharing between 2 xboxs?

If you haven't already, start a Microsoft Family (https://family.microsoft.com) and invite your son and your husband to it. That should solve the problem and share Game Pass across the devices.

    UWP apps confusion

    Hey HBK SeanMichael,

UWP means Universal Windows Plattform. That means that a Developer only need to develop one App that can be used across Windows 10 PC, Windows 10 Mobile and Xbox One. The Stores of all these devices are merged into one store. So you dont need to worry about
it stated as UWP it most certainly will be a UWP then.

The Netflix App found on Xbox One is indeed already the UWP Version, aswell as Groove, Onedrive, Hulu and stuff. They should all share your experience across your Win10 devices.

If you search for Netflix on your Xbox One and look under the Description there is stated:

Available on: Xbox One, PC, Mobile device. Any app thats labeled in that way is always a UWP App.
