Microsoft Store order additional charges

I made an order via Microsoft Store for an xbox controller.

Purchase was done via Irish website and paid in Euro.

When the controller was delivered I was asked to pay an additional VAT and TAX as the package was send from the UK.

There was no warning or hint that I will be charged additional VAT and TAX. I ordered from EU country paid in euro.

I want to request a refund for the VAT and TAX.

Who can I contact to get the refund? (please do not sent me the Virtual Agent they do not work)

You don't mention where you live. But if you live outside of the EU, then yes, you will have to pay taxes and/or duties for any products imported to your country. It's the same in (almost) every country in the world.

I live in Ireland (EU) and made the order via the Irish website in euro and was already charged for VAT.

for some reason Microsoft decided to sent the package from the UK and the carrier charged again for VAT and TAX.

I figured it out on my own last night someone hacked into my Microsoft account and used all my stored payment methods to order products and created a Xbox profile. They tried changing my log in credentials but I caught it after the first couple charges to my cash card and PayPal account. I have since regained access to my account, changed my password and added additional security in addition to removing my payment info. I have been refunded the charges as well.

I ordered one. Ordered it through the Xbox 360. Decided to order it there as I noticed the Microsoft Store did not charge me provincial sales tax
