Microsoft store compatibility with Steam

I want to play Remnant from the ashes on Xbox and PC. I should be able to do that through game sharing, but will i still be able to play with people that own the game through Steam? I dont want to have to buy it twice to play with my Steam friends and
Xbox friends.

Steam and Xbox don't work together like that unfortunately, here's a list for you though of all the games that if you purchase on the microsoft store or Xbox store you can play on the other platform.

Steam games are not currently compatible with console games. You will not be able to play across platforms that way.

Thank you for contacting the Community forum with your question. Unfortunately, at the moment Remnant from the Ashes is not a crossplay game. Yes, you can play it through game sharing on Xbox though at the moment it isn't compatible with other platforms,

No, it will not be compatible, Gable68. The base game as well as DLC needs to be purchased on the same launcher for it to work.

If you download a game from Microsoft Store, I Believe it dose not go into steam. If you download a game from steam, it goes into steam. If you download a game from Microsoft Store, a shortcut will be created, or you can pin the game to task bar.
