    Hi There,

This is the link Maxen was trying to provide with info on the transition to local currency (support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-points-retire-faq).

Keep in mind, if your friend doesn't use the converted currency by April 2016, it will expire as well, per the FAQ.

I understand you're not happy with this, but when MS Points were converted to local currency they were done so with an expiration date as they counted as "promotional" currency, and this was communicated at the time. This was set in motion in August 2013,
and the details of that were here:
    support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-points-retire-faq
Unfortunately I cannot myself open that link (bad redirect), so I'm not sure if you can, but basically it explains that when MS Points were converted into currency it was done so at a favourable conversion,
returning to you additional money for any tax that was originally paid and so forth, thus it was counted as promotional, hence the expiration. The expiration date would always have been visible on your account (among other places, on
https://account.microsoft.com) and whenever you spend any money your account will always use the currency that is set to expire first (if any). Currency that is earned through the Xbox Live Rewards programme,
or Bing Rewards in the US, will similarly also have an expiration date at times, but this money is always the first to be spent, automatically, to limit the chances of this situation happening.

I hope this explains the situation, although I appreciate that it's far from ideal.

    Hi there!

Sorry to hear that you have noticed unauthorised charges to your Microsoft Account. I recommend that you change your password immediately, and then contact Xbox Support who should be able to help you further (in regards to a refund for these purchases).
    You can contact them here:
    support.xbox.com/contact-us
    .

I hope that is of some help to you. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Microsoft stole my money

    Hello Pfuetze,

If you log in at https://account.microsoft.com you can see your billing history, which would also show where the money went, including if the money was expiring Microsoft Points.

Yes, this is, what the service guy tell me. But a friend bought microsoft points in april 2015, charged his account and it was shown in Euro. So there is no problem with the points. The real problem is the expiration of money, you have on your account (the
billing history do not show it). I claimed my money back, but the service guy just said it's not possible. You can't treat customers this way. That's an absolutely NO GO!

From the online store. It doesn't matter anyway because the codes worked.
