Microsoft stole my money with Worms Battlegrounds????!!

About 5 months ago I acquired a Xbox One and was browsing the marketplace looking for a title to download. I settled on Worms: Battlegrounds and payed $25 for it. Thereafter, I had grown bored of the title and stopped playing it. Then, a few months later,
it popped up on Xbox Games with Gold. I had a Xbox Live Gold membership at the time, but had cancelled auto-renew. As of today, my membership has been cancelled for about a week. I turned on the Xbox, navigated to Worms: Battlegrounds, and attempted to
launch the game. It proceeded to tell me that because I was not a Xbox Live Gold member, I could not play the game I payed $25 dollars for. Any help?

This is the link Maxen was trying to provide with info on the transition to local currency (support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-points-retire-faq).

Keep in mind, if your friend doesn't use the converted currency by April 2016, it will expire as well, per the FAQ.

 

Worms is currently free for gold members. There may be a glitch where it flagged your account as having acquired it for free during the promo, which is only available for gold. It sounds like something you will need to talk to support about so they can
look up your purchase history and fix it. 1-800-4MY-XBOX
