Microsoft Solitaire requires connection to Internet (have that) to load events

I have same issue, trying to open the Microsoft solitaire collection live event and I am able to sign in but go to load the event and it says "internet connection required". my internet is connected and working so the tech at comcast said to check with
you guys. frustrating.

I cannot login to the Solitaire World Events frequently. It always starts at 7:00am CST and often shows "Internet Connection Required" but obviously I am connected. I have tried resetting the app in the advnaced settings. My gamertag is logged in but the
"Word Events" wont load.

Microsoft solitaire. The event contest feature does not load and instead after running idle for a minute displays the message "internet connection required". This is the same on my windows 10 App and IOS App. Notably, my internet connection(s) work just
fine, hence it is clearly a snafu of the game.

I tried to play the events today, Saturday, 10/13/2018 and it says that I need an internet connection. If I didn't have an internet connection, I would not be able to ask a question, play the daily games, or use my internet at all. What is the
problem???
