Microsoft Solitaire Klondike Daily Challenge 7/19/2014

i see it works ok in windows 8.1. it completed the challenge at 84 moves and i got 300 coins.

i dont know if the game is repaired now or it does not work in windows 8.

i will try again in windows 8 and report the results

Microsoft Solitaire World Tournament

Me too. Tried rebooting machine, and uninstalling, then reinstalling MS Solitaire. I can play normal games, and daily challenges, but clicking on that Klondike Event just crashes MS solitaire.

 

White Screen on daily challenges Microsoft Solitaire Collection

The last two days when I go to play the daily challenges on Microsoft Solitaire I click on one of the games doesn't matter if it is Klondike, Tripeaks when it tries to load the screen goes white. The events work the single games work just the daily challenges.
Thoughts?

 

Didn't work for me on windows 8.1. I've tried several times but it's just not registering the Jacks.

 

I run windows 8 and my solitaire and mahjong daily challenge game from June keep crashing. Please somebody help me. Thank you

 

i tried today in windows 8 . it does not work. except counting 95 moves and stops . does not sense even if solve the full board. it comes back to deal without any notice.

 

I,too,have the same problem in Windows 8. I solved it yesterday in 84 moves and like everyone else, it did not register that the challenge was complete. I solved it again today and it's still not registering. Will this be fixed by the end of the month?
It's very frustrating to solve an Expert challenge, only to have it not register as a win.

 

Using Win 8.0 and have experienced same problem with 19 July Klondike challenge not registering win when two jacks are played to foundation.

We have determined that there is indeed an issue with this Daily Challenge on Windows 8 machines. A fix is being uploaded shortly that will remove the "move requirement" so that this can be solved. If you're having this issue on a Windows 8.1 machine (which
you shouldn't), please make certain that your Windows 8.1 is completely updated:

1. Press the Windows key

2. Type in Windows Update

3. Under the search bar you see on the right, choose Check for Updates

4. In the Windows Update screen, press the Check Now button

5. Even if it doesn't seem to find any updates, click on View Details

6. Install any updates you see that haven't been installed- including optional ones

7. Restart using the restart option from the shutdown menu.

Then please try these steps:

1. Press Windows Key + R

2. In the box, type wsreset.exe and press Enter

3. This will re-launch the Windows Store

4. Hover over the right-hand side to bring up the charm bar

5. Choose Settings

6. Choose App Updates

7. Choose Sync licenses

7/22 10pm , still not working on Win 8. What do we need to do if we use 8? Or is that promised fix not done yet?

The fix should be live, but appears that it isn't. I'm checking in with the devs and will post back as soon as I hear what's going on.

Ok, I heard back that the fix is there, it might just take some time to show in the game. One thing the devs suggest is to restart your system by choosing "Restart" from the shutdown menu. This will completely close and disconnect all programs. When your
system is back up, reopen Microsoft Solitaire Collection and make certain that you've connected to Xbox Live (look for the little green checkmark) and when you click on Daily Challenges it should force a refresh of the puzzles pulling down the fix. Please
let me know if this works for you. In the new version of the puzzle, the move requirement should be gone. Thanks.

 

I have Windows 8. I restarted my pc, opened the Collection, made sure I was connected, and it's still the same when I open the puzzle. It still shows the move requirement, and when I solved it again in under 95 moves, it still does not register.

So it seems the fix is not working.

 

and still not working here either!!!

 

I also have Windows 8. Went so far as to sign out of Games, restart using shutdown, back in to Games, log in, go back to Solitaire, verify check mark, and retry. Still didn't work. Also did wsreset.exe and checked for updates in Windows store; none found.
