Thanks for the reply. How is it that you are accessing the Microsoft Solitaire Collection? Do you go through the MSN Games Online play option or do you have it installed on your Computer? If you have it installed have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling
the App itself in case a component may have become corrupted in the software?
How to uninstall and reinstall a game on Windows 10. I recommend trying to uninstall it then fully power down the computer and unplug it for 5 minutes. After the time passes turn it back on and reinstall the content and see if that fixes it. Give it a try
and let us know with a reply how it goes!.

here asking about the difficulty settings, maybe someone can help.

Microsoft Casual Games Community post in there comments section and see if a member of the community or the Casual Games Support team can give you a bit more insight to the situation.

I am experiencing the same issue whereby I cannot change the default difficulty setting of "Random" within Pyramid. Klondike difficulty setting is easy to change -- wished it were the same in Pyramid.

If you know of an update or how to change the default difficulty setting of "Random" in Pyramid, please let me know.
