Microsoft Solitaire Collection: Events Game time runs in spite of being between games & not ...

A few times now I have started playing the Events tournaments and had schedule interruptions. Each time, I have finished whatever particular game I was in and either logged out, or closed Events, yet the time has kept running, making my overall time huge.

Also, yesterday, I had just started opening Events, and the indicator was circling, when I got called away, so I closed it, by X'ing out, but when I finally got back to play, the timer had me at over an hour into participation, when I checked the leaderboard.

I don't know how your timing works, is it from the time that you start, until the time that you finish, even if you do not have an active game open?

If not, does the timer somehow adjust itself, before results are tallied, because absent that, it seems like players would be being penalized for not having time to play the whole tournament through in one sitting.

Please clarify, and help, if there is something going wrong with my account.

Earlier start time

I really enjoy the Microsoft Solitaire Collection Events, but I would like to see them started earlier in the morning. Six or 7 am. would give more time to complete the games and still get a days work done.

We have seen a few complaints about this, however we haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

We suggest ensuring that your PC is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable. This will help prevent any network interruptions that could cause hiccups. Additionally, be sure to wait until the game goes completely back to the home screen before exiting
the app. What I generally do to hold my spot if I get pulled away is hit the "Back" button and let the warning window stay open instead of exiting from the app. You can see the timer stops when you do that.

Let me know if that helps! We want to work with others to get this sorted out, it's just difficult to when we can't pinpoint what might be happening.

Hi Matrja, I assume you a referring to the Microsoft Solitaire Collection? If so, the timers should tell you when the event are over. I'm not sure why the game should track that much more time for you but is it possible that it was still running in the background
while you where using your PC?

Hey, Ten!

I'm unsure what game you are talking about. Because the Solitaire Collection just launched Events, it could be that you are playing that, however Bingo also has World items.

For Solitaire, every day is a new Event for this first week, and you will be able to participate in others. Because of these being timed, there is no way that the Events can be extended.

Are you able to post back with what game you are trying to play? We can start from there for our troubleshooting. Thanks!
