Microsoft Solitaire Collection crashes after Ads

Using Windows 10. Microsoft Solitaire Collection crashes after Ads!

I have noticed that some of Microsoft ads for there own games don't create this crash. Mostly the ads for cars women's hygiene products etc. causes it to crash. Weird! At the end of the ad the window pauses for a few seconds and then CRASH!

I have repaired and reinstalled the app. I've also rune the hardware troubleshooter as well as other troubleshooters to no avail.

Help!

Solitaire still crashing with latest fast ring build and latest solitaire update after ad plays

Solitaire collection still crashes after advertisement plays when selecting daily challenges or events. Only certain ads cause this to happen for me specifically the Aldi ad will crash every time, where game ads typically do not crash the app. This has
been ongoing since upgrading in the to the creators version in the fast ring has started.

Sometimes these can be caused by outdated software or drivers. What device are you playing the game on and have you checked to see if your computer or device is fully up to date?

Sometimes these can be caused by outdated software or drivers. What device are you playing the game on and have you checked to see if your computer or device is fully up to date?

Done all that drivers are all up to date. Window 10 is up to date, uninstalled an reinstalled app. Everything is up to date.

Still have the problem. However, after Microsoft game ads everything works, it's those other commercials that bugger things up. And CRASH!

Is it happening any time an ad plays or just at random? Do you notice issues in other games you play?

I think I've found a fix. Before or while the ad is playing, make the window smaller than full screen (not completely minimized) so you can move it around with your mouse by clicking and dragging the window title bar. As long as you are "hanging on"
to the window with your mouse when the ad ends, it shouldn't close and should go to your game. So far, this has worked 100% of the time on my laptop.
