Microsoft Solitaire Collection ads freeze

I'm having the same problem. Ads will sometimes freeze at the end. This has been an intermittent but ongoing problem for the past month, making Microsoft Solitaire Collection virtually unplayable as it makes the overall experience very frustrating.

Strangely, after I made that post and mentioned that it was Vungle ads the issue resolved. Maybe someone at Vungle got the message? So far all has been well but I will keep your solution in mind. Thanks for your post.

I can open the game and be signed in but when I try to play a game an ad comes up and freezes. The only way out is to close the app. It happens with several ads but most commonly the Microsoft Store "Must Have Apps". The countdown box appears in the upper right corner but then nothing happens except a Tap to Play message that does nothing. This started about a week ago (June 6?) and was intermittent but today I cannot get any game to start. These are Vungle ads.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and made sure I have the latest version with no missing updates. I do not want to try reset because I will lose all my data (stats).

Hi Terri, I had the same issue and also observed that it happens with the vungle ad server. It first resolved with updates, but quickly returned. I did all the store and game updates, resets, run actions...

If the problem returns, the solution I have found is when the ad stalls, I do not exit. I press the Windows key and bring up the Start menu. From there, I select the Solitaire game and it launches.

Josef, Thank you for your reply. Whatever was causing the problem seems to have resolved without any further action by me. I suspect it may have had to do with the Vungle ads.
