Microsoft Solitaire adult only ads

I use Ad Block Plus in Opera and still got these ads. I reviewed all internet history that happened prior to those ads showing up (easy to do since I play the daily challenges) and there was nothing inappropriate; just news, sports, and shopping on well
known websites and there were no inappropriate searches happening in Google. I cleared the cookies from Opera and I'm once again getting ads for Dodge, Visit Orlando, and random free-to-play games like Bingo and whatever. I still think Microsoft needs to
restrict ads for family games. I have no idea what cookie could have caused the AO ads to show up, but now I'm concerned because Solitaire, Word Games, etc. are also played by my kids. My wife and I are careful what we allow them to play and expected that
Microsoft would be more trustworthy than all the random free games available in the Microsoft Store.

I live alone and no one else has had access to my computer so will have to go with the rogue cookie theory as I know that I have not accessed anything purposely that would lead to this stuff. It was suggested that an ad blocker be added to the arsenal...will
that really block these game ads??

As mentioned, the ads tend to be "recommended" based on the search history for browser(s) connected to the account/PC in use. It would be best to clear the cookies and cache on the web browsers.

How to Clear on Microsoft Edge:

1. In the Microsoft Edge browser, go to
   More Three-dot More icon> Settings.
2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
3. Select the Cookies and saved website data check box and select
   Clear.

How to Clear on Internet Explorer:

1. Launch Internet Explorer.
2. Click the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options."
3. Select the "General" tab and click "Delete" under Browsing History.
4. Check the boxes next to "Temporary Internet Files," "Cookies" and "History," and click the "Delete" button.
5. Click "OK."

Hi, most of these adverts are targeted from your searches on the PC, if someone else has access to your PC I would be wanting to know what they have been using it for.

Assuming that those ads are based on browsing history, which I doubt as Solitaire is not a browser based game but a standalone app, there still should be a process of not allowing such ads, either while accepting the advertisers's content by Microsoft or
within the app to not allow such ads. You never know when a kid is playing.

Yes but ad bockers could also cause problems playing the game as well. Best thing to do would be to clear everything in your cache/search histotry.
