    Microsoft should make their play and charge kits compatible with new controllers


    To Microsoft,

    I would like to inform Microsoft Xbox support that the new controllers that came out (with or without the console), called Series X/S controller or controller models, are not compatible with the current or previous-gen's play and charge kits as of my December 2020 purchase.

    I understand Microsoft is focused on the new generation of systems and accessories, but gamers like myself still had to buy the current products that supposed to work with either systems, as the assumption based on the labeling. The current labeling (as of December 2020) just say "Xbox Robot White controllers" and not updating the matter to a more specific understanding of what I am buying from wherever I buy the product for my old, but recent play and charge kit that is made by Xbox. Can you fix this matter in time? Or, do I need to request my merchant a refund to get the proper controller for my current play and charge kit? If you need more info and to solve the matter with me directly, please reply. Thank you for looking into the problem.

    Xbox one original console Sync button does not seem to work

    The controller should make a pair with the console with a micro USB cable that supports data transfer such as the Play & Charge kit Microsoft sells.

    Will the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit be compatible with the Xbox Series X?

    Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
    will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.

    Hi, This is how I´m currently connecting controls but as soon as I disconnect cable it stops working.

    Hi Lord Norr.

    This is a problem with your Play and Charge Kit, not the controller. One of my controllers used to do the exact same thing until I replaced it with a new charge kit.
