    For several weeks the Xbox Live service has been going up and down whether it be the social aspect not working from the content usage and ofcourse the core services being down. Im pretty sure its been going on more almost or even more than a month (for me
    atleast) but it is fact that they have been providing issues for all of us. We keep paying and paying but not doing anything about it. Microsoft should give us a free month or two (three if you really want to be spiteful) of free gold or if not that atleast
    a free game of OUR CHOICE. Do whatever you can to get this post out there for Microsoft to see and in no way am I bashing them, I have been with them for 8 years now but even I can see these constant problems are unacceptable and we will keep having issues
    at this rate if we dont, as the paying customer, really push them to do something about this. If this keeps happening for weeks to come I myself will force myself to cancel until they get there stuff together. If this was just happening for acouple of days
    I could care less but now Im getting alittle annoyed. Keep bumping posts like this for Microsoft to see!

    Wow f00xm when did Sony ever go down for 3 months? I remember 30 days once.

    Its no secret Xbox Live has issues from time to time. And so does PSN. You always have the option of not subscribing to either service if you are having continous issues

    There have been several ddos attacks on xbox live lately so it's not an issue with live but the idiots who keep doing this.

    They say they aren't doing it to PSN as that isn't a challenge to do which says something.

    Read the ToU/CoC you agreed to & you'll see that you wont be getting any compensation.Even if you did it would amount to about 30p for the times live has been down in the past 12 months.

    I agree that it's annoying.even though i'm signed in fine but others can't,but it's not the end of the world.

    No one from Microsoft will see your post anyway.

  5. PSN is up AND PS+ users got a free day for compensation just for a couple of hours outage just a short while back. Matter of fact PSN has basically the same rules about outages, so not giving compensation falls squarely on Microsofts shoulders. And no badger
    your wrong where did you read/see/hear that THEY ( whoever THEY are )said it wasn't that challenging to do it to PSN? And yes it IS an issue with live if they can do this to live. I'm glad somebody else paid for my LIVE subscription, cause I would be getting
    really upset which quite A FEW people are I guess.

    I'm not wrong.Im not posting the name of the group that did it as that's what they want but go look it up.

    The last time Microsoft offered compensation the same people crying that live was down then came on the forums crying that they didn't like the game they were given.

    It was posted on Youtube that compensation for live being down would be forthcoming. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Pfffft. Microsoft will never fix things. Cost is too high and they'd rather bury their heads in the sand than do anything about the live connection problems. It's been slow for a week now and I'm having problems calling up my movies and checking to see if
    any new games I had digitally for the 360 are out yet

  9. I've had my One and Live for well over a year now and only ONE time did I have an issue in regards to services being unavailable. I even had to send back my controller for breaking down before the warranty had expired. Microsoft has been great as far as
    I'm concerned, but then again my internet service provider rarely has downtime and is quite fast. Let me put this into perspective for all of you whiners, you went 12 hours without service and now want reimbursement... are you breathing only from your mouths?
    You pay $0.16 a day for your live service and the FREE games and service that goes with it.....so what you want them to mail you a check for $0.08?, because in my opinion those that are whining act so entitled to free free free, that they should probably vote
    for Sanders. You should just save your $0.08 and use it to move out of your mommies basement. Get real people. Thanks Microsoft for the Stellar service and everything else that my Live account entitles me too, I got your back.

    No one said anything about compensation being forthcoming. The Gaming Daily guys on YouTube were only discussing the issue and neither of them work for Microsoft.

    If you have a link to any statement from MS I would be glad to read it.

    SquidIncredible has summed it up although if you shop around live is less than 6pence/8 cents per day for a years subscription.

    I've been on xbox live since 2003 & in all that time it's been completely down twice.How many other online services can you say that for at that price?
