I just bought forza Motorsport 5 at GameStop in Santa clarita, CA. before leaving I tried the Xbox one kiosk running the forza 5 demo. It looked very disappointing. I felt like returning the game right then. The resolution didn't look 1080p. This Xbox
one kiosk was beside the PS4 kiosk. The PS4 TV screen looked to be set to 1080p. When I got home, I tried forza 5 on my Xbox one hooked up to my TV screen set to 1080p and it looked amazing. Someone in-charge should do some QA on these kiosks and disable the
ability to change the resolutions on these TV screens. This is very misleading. It is what walmart, frys, best buy does to sell more units of a biased product. Very sneaky and unfair sales strategy

    :)

Have you checked the settings for each game to verify they are running in full screen mode? Many times a game will default to Windowed mode at a slightly lower resolution than your monitor or TV. So if you need to run in a windowed mode, also ensure the
resolution matches. Example 1920x1080 instead of 1920x990.

    Screen

    Check the screen resolution

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

    Select Console Settings.

    Select Display.

    Select HDTV Settings.

Select the appropriate screen resolution for your TV or monitor.

  5. The ones at the Gamestop stores around here all look like they do on my sons tv. I have yet to play it myself as he runs his 360 through it and is on that with friends a lot. I have seen him play some Forza 5 though and it looked the same really.

I did notice when I was at one of the stores yesterday that they had the One unit turned off. And, at least around here, they do tend to recommend the PS4 and I have heard them tell people that they sell them faster than the One. And the One sits on shelves
longer. Wal-mart's around here are the same with telling people this. I was there getting a skylander for a relative and they had very few PS4 games in stock and no PS4 while having a few One and a lot of games (I am sure this is due to the fact MS is supplying
well in the U.S. and am not bashing them). I heard the woman working there tell a lady that the One was not moving well and she should consider waiting for the PS4. Said the PS4 played the games better and that they were told the One would have a price reduction.
And I can tell you from listening to her that this older lady knows

nothing about games. But you and I both know that some people will be swayed. I know MS cannot stop this stuff but they do it all the time.

These things, combined with the resolutions deal (as if that little bit matters to most), can hurt sales. That is probably why MS needed to unlock some of that reserved GPU. Of course that might limit how Kinect is actually integrated into games. Will they
elect to use that GPU power for the graphics or actually put it into use for Kinect features (I would bet on the graphics). And you know the media will run with that as well and make it a bigger story than needs be.

Edit: I am using that spacing technique that I have to use on this forum and it has not been working lately. That means no spacing.

Edit2: And, then it works. Go figure.

So any store employee is somehow wrong for telling customers what they have personally witnessed? LOL! It must be a conspiracy!! That is interesting though to see the same thing happening all around the country. I noticed X1's in stock at my local Target
every time I went there. I happened to find a PS4 twice, and I bought one to resell on eBay. When I asked the clerks both times though, they both mentioned how the X1's simply weren't selling but every time they got PS4's in stock they were gone within the
day. It's also kinda funny that an old lady there knew nothing about video games, but also noticed which console was selling quickly and which was sitting around. Hopefully things like this will be a quick wake up call to MS.
