Microsoft should attempt to purchase 2K studios.

Microsoft is backed into a corner right now.....no true baseball simulating game coming in 2016 nothing to set it apart really from playstation other then games like halo, titanfall, gears of war.....They should attempt to purchase 2K studios.....It just
makes sense....First off 2K is what kept Sega around as long as it was in the console market. When Sega sold 2K Microsoft should have came with check in hand. You already have an established fan base for NBA 2K, NFL 2K, MLB 2K. Microsoft has no baseball game
hitting the market in 2016 other then arcade style RBI Baseball. Let MLB 2K be your flagship baseball game keep the pitching mechanics and just polish the game better....MLB 2K > MLB The Show way more enjoyable game play and that beats great visuals any day!
2nd. NBA 2K is huge! It would be a welcomed addition as an exclusive and would steal a lot of people away from Sony for years. 3rd. Madden is huge! one of the bigger games consistently every year. If you can revive the NFL 2K series many fans will jump as
long as it has some basics in all the games. 2K has been known for going beyond the sport its really more of sport/rpg game and those are the basics you package in any 2k sports game.

Aside from sports 2K has a lot of other exciting franchises......We lost Mass Effect exclusiveness and that was a blow, we lost call of duty dlc being launched first.......were losing to much and not gaining enough. I would love to watch all the Sony fanboys
flock to Xbox because there they cant play their basketball game anymore on it lol. We would also acquire the Sid Meirs franchise which are great on pc and console! Bioshock, Duke Nukem, Borderlands, So many great franchises I would definitely find out what
they think they are worth and make an offer asap!

Aren't 2k actually a publisher?

In any case after MS closed Lionhead I think all studios are better off independent. Once MS or Sony buy them they can be shut down on a whim.

 

Baseball is in declined. And the younger gen not into baseball as there parent and there grandparents.

 

Also for you plan to work. You need to buy out the parent company TAKE TWO.

 

It would never happen. 2K was already attempted to have been taken over by several other companies with no success. Microsoft has the cash no doubt, but even with the supposed talk of investors scrapping the Xbox brand because they didn't have faith in
the product over a year ago, it doesn't seem likely that the acquisition of one company would make much difference to investors. Sure they would corner the market on games like GTA and such but that may back fire on them too. The bought the Minecraft Studio
but that didn't increase anything either, although 2K is a much larger and well known studio. I just can't see it happening, plus they have a good thing going anyway.

 

FXH Mantis I think XB1 will be the PS3 of this gen. It not get number they wanted until close end this gen. Because the 2nd sold console in the market is XB1. Investors have no idea gaming business works in all. It not just being number one. But also
at less get number two spot when there is three console in the market. And investor want to scrip a console brand. They should called NINTENDO to stop making consoles and start making there games for XBOX and PLAYSTATION. Because WIi U is not making no money
at all.
