    Xbox LIVE & PSN HACKED for Christmas?!

    Apparently, an anonymous hacker group called the Lizard Squad sent a DDoS attack on both Xbox LIVE and PSN. Both services are offline...

    These occurrences aren't random. Xbox LIVE and PSN have been going offline and experiencing "technical difficulties" on a weekly basis. But who is to blame? These so called hacktivists? Or the Microsoft and Sony officials who can't seem to secure their servers from such groups?

    Microsoft and Sony need to take action and secure their servers. It is absolutely ridiculous how they are a multi-billion dollar organizations, yet their servers are compromised by the hands of a few teenagers sitting in their parent's basement. Surely, they have the resources to prevent such incidents. WHY should I pay online membership when I am going to have to endure these inconveniences on a regular basis? Thousands of people together pay millions of dollars to Microsoft and Sony to have these online services, and they can't guarantee the security of these services back to their customers.

    3 yes atm they only ddosing not hacking dont think they actually capable of hacking

    will work around the clock to fix these issues and get you back online as fast as possible!

    As far as your account goes, you have nothing to worry about! Your account is totally safe and has not been compromised in any way. Microsoft protects our account details and personal information with a very high level of security and I highly doubt those
    services will ever be compromised.

    There is no reason for you to disconnect your console(s) from the internet at all! You can feel free to continue gaming away and enjoying the Xbox experience. If another service issue does arise and you experience a temporary service outage, know that service
    is likely to be restored reasonably quickly. You can always check the current Xbox Live Service Status

    hosts. However, this would be too... expensive... for Microsoft to consider, especially considering they don't care. Bot booters work by having thousands of infected computers/connections try to establish a connection with the same IP at the same port at the
    same time. It is the exact same as having thousands of different PEOPLE try to establish a connection with your IP at the same port at the same time. The only difference is that a bot booter is only one person trying to boot you. You obviously have no idea
    what you are talking about, ngocphi. Please refrain from posting on this forum again since you are essentially spamming nonsense. Besides, I am not referring to DoS attacks. I am referring to overall security gaps caused by Microsoft's lack of security.
