    Microsoft sent me a SECOND HAND XBONE


    Okay what is wrong with this company..

    I've been through so much mess about it's not even funny now.

    I couldn't replace my broken xbox one at my local store because they had no more stock.

    So I had to send it off to Microsoft and I was assured I would get a brand new console.

    NOPE, opened it up today and the faceplate is all loose

    Call Microsoft, and all this idiot had to say was "SORRY, that was all that was available at the time."

    Um.. WTF ? I've spent over $700+ here and I am left with some one's second hand console.

    Not even compensated with anything.

    MICROSOFT, WTF ?!?!?!

    Two Weeks, Two Controllers, Kaput

    I've had problems with my controller too. I bought my XBone about two months ago, within a week the 'right D pad' button just stopped working. So I sent it back to Microsoft repaires and they luckily sent me a brand new replacement.

    Hey there,

    Sorry to hear about any frustration this may have caused. Regarding your disc issues, have you checked out the troubleshooting article for

    manually ejecting a disc
    ? Additionally, there's another article for
    general disc problems
    for the Xbox One to help you out.

    We're unable to speculate why you don't have a "new" replacement here on the forums, but you're always free to reach out to
    phone or chat support for further information.

    Hopefully the disc problems won't occur for your replacement.

    Even if it was damaged during transit.

    I personally called Microsoft, and they admitted they sent a second hand console.. "Because that was all the stock that available at the time."

    No sticker at the front and a loose faceplate.

    How can I take this up further, I should be compensated.

    It was a brand new console, that had a bad disc drive.

    Yes I expect a brand new one.. duh

    Yes, but that's not the point.

    I as the consumer have purchased a BRAND NEW console, I won't accept a SECOND HAND one.

    without some sort of compensation.

    Do they not understand that a second hand console is second hand, whether it be "fully checked" or not.

    To be honest, the word of a support rep from any console should be taken with a grain of salt. Even if it were second hand, Microsoft is exceptional when it comes to its refurbished hardware. Despite what trolls will have you believe, their peripherals,
    Surface line, etc. all are exceptional build. With the exception of the RRoD, they're damn near OCD with their QC. With that being said, I doubt they'd reship a broken console. Something else happened there. Support chat always tells you that you'll get a
    refurbished unit because its their policy to send you one for warranty claims, it speeds up the process. I hope you get it resolved quickly.

    Literally every electronics manufacturer in the WORLD, replaces defective devices with refurbished ones whenever possible. It's one hundred percent normal.
