Microsoft Screen Time Tool for Family Members is SERIOUSLY FLAWED!!!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to prevent my child from using Xbox One when they are "blocked" according to Microsoft's screen time feature which is accessed via my account page?

For instance, my child found a serious flaw in Microsoft's screen time system. They can play Xbox as long as they want when they are blocked. They can not play online but if a game has a campaign mode (which almost all games have this) they can play indefinitely.

It seems Microsoft's screen time feature is totally useless and a joke! My only option to prevent my children from sneaking in a game or more time than allowed is to physically remove the power cable but that is a major pain. How did Microsoft miss this?

Microsoft, are you aware of this HUGE flaw in your system?!

P.S. Microsoft's screen time also is easily hackable for the PC. All you have to do is launch Task Manager, locate Family Screen Time executable and end the process. Anyone can do this. When you kill the executable you can play on or offline as much as you
want no matter the block.

You can put specific parental controls on the xbox itself by setting up a family account link and info here This is separate to any microsoft account security.

I agree it’s a pain that screentime is hackable by launching task manager... You can change the settings on your PC to disable task manager for other users. Although I am not sure of the other impacts this may have... infohere.
For determined children, there might always be a way around these type of controls, so the controls themselves probably shouldn’t be the only solution.

If you add the account to a Microsoft family as a member and not as an organizer, you should be able to manage the screen time of the account trough the Microsoft family settings

Sign in to your Family page with an adult Microsoft account.

On your family group page, select the member whose account you want to manage, and then select the Screen time tile.

To disable screen time limits for a device, select the More options button next to the device that you’re managing, and then select Turn limits off.
